Yay, someone was finally brave enough to ask for C/C! ^_^ It's been a while since I did this, so I'm glad she just started with level 1.5.
Picture in question:
There's a lot of stuff "going right" here...the face, the
eyes (really pretty), the coloring on the hair doo-dads, her proportions. It may be old, but it's a solid drawing and a fascinating character.
Since you said it was older, I took a look at your other stuff as well to get a sense for overall trends I could make suggestions on.
I'd say the two biggest improvements I'd recommend for this picture are
1) Since her hair/face are a "clean" drawing, I'd have gone ahead and used an eraser to clean up the lines for the arms/torso as well. A little thing, aye, I know, but it's surprising how powerful it can be to have all parts of a picture follow the same style.
2) Give her neck a little more of an forward-angle.
Do a google image search on "necks" and take a look at some photographs, particularly from the side. Notice how necks tend to angle forward? Try to work that into your characters a little more in the future. (
This is a pretty good reference from Wendy. Even as straight as those necks are, even they have a little bit of a forward angle.)
