Thanks for the tips! Don't know if wormwood would be too bitter, but it sure would be awesome for my digestion, I need to check it out. And I'm already looking forward to make tea from fresh herbs again! Still the best. Yarrow is growing in our garden as well, should try that, too!

Okay, art question: do you make rough sketched for your art before you start the actual sketch of your final pic? Or do you dive straight into the real thing?

I'm going to take this question...

I dive right in. I can't sketch to save my life. I rarely do even a quick scribble on a scrap of paper if I have an idea (I should post the one I did of Kimo for the pin-up calendar; it is hilarious), but it does happen from time to time—more to remember an idea than flesh it out. I envy people who do/can do sketches; sometimes, they are even more beautiful than a finished work.

My way isn't always the best though, since I don't have a clear concept on paper ahead of time it can be difficult in the long run. I had no idea about the 2025 calendar cover, aside from using Kaslen and putting her in a tree. I was still working on it a few hours before I had to post to the site.

Question: Do you listen to music when you're being creative? Drawing, crafting etc. (I currently have Australian artist Montaigne in heavy rotation) and if you do what type of music?

Honestly I find that so freeing to hear, because honestly, same. I usually work on sketches more to get an idea and to work the anatomy enough that I can do the fun things. Like the background or using the colors. I think it might be common for more painterly artists, where the sketches are more about placement.

As for music, it depends. For the more challenging parts I pop on video game music albums. I heard once that they are designed to keep your attention. Don’t know if that is true, but it usually works for me. If I am chilling, I turn on The Hu or my medival music playlist.

My question, what artists or genre of music do you listen to that No one expects from you? Mine is Scooter.
