Destinys Non-EQ Art
« on: January 10, 2012, 09:23:02 PM »

I rarely ever create something non-EQ but there are some older pieces that I have done that I'm willing to upload here.
You can also check out old OLD OLD pieces on my deviantart, kumi4eva.deviantart.com

As soon as I figure out where to grab the images from, I'll post them here.

Request of Hayley Williams from Paramore, I made it for my friend Sammeh and colored it a few weeks ago. You can tell it has my old style lineart with newer style colorings. I inked it a month or so back.

One of the inks I had colored on GIMP

Edit: Woot, it worked!

Second I had colored on GIMP

Yay for ugly watermarks.

Oh, very nice facial studies! They look lovely and they are good way of improving of perspective.
And that watercolor pic is beautiful. Really looks like a sunny day and I like it a lot that the structure of the paper is showing.

Late reply, oh no, thank you! The watercolor wouldn't scan correctly, it would suck all the color out and leave the paper texture so I was worried it would look a bit garish with the bright colors...

Trying a new medium... I love drawing hair.

Thank you! I was hoping the eyes weren't too obnoxious with pink, she's a cyborg named Yana, my newest character.

And yes, the hair was so much fun, I love it!  :D

I find them refreshing. :) It also give me courage to colour up one of my friend's elf who has that type of eye colour.

Oooh, cool! Well, there should always be some sort of elf with a neon eye color! It makes for happy times!

I didn't want to post this one to gallery because its just a sketch but here is nightfall before I colored her. You can see it looks very "her".... Too bad it doesn't stay that way when I colored her....

Ever get the feeling that everything you draw seems to be on elves?
Ashe! From League of Legends, I'm a video game nerd. I really hate her but she was fun to color.

Watercolor, since I need to practice on it

As said on Deviant art:
Her facial shape didn't turn out how it was supposed to, it seemed more like Leetah's face and not the thin and soft faced tyleet.

Scrap!

So, no go to gallery.

I still like your watercolors! Also, good angle in that face. Not easy to draw!
I when I saw the sketch, I immediately though "Tyleet!" Definitely more Tyleet than Leetah, I think. :D

I admire how you are able to use light pencil strokes. That is one of my biggest problems.

Love your watercolors.

@Treefox: Thank you! It took me about 20 minutes to get the nose right, but as soon as I colored it, everything came together good. And I might color Tyleet, just make her eyes a bit softer, I think that's the only problem I see...

@Startear: I use different thickness pencils, you can get them at any art store or even a Staples or maybe any sort of office outlet store. The one's I use are STAEDTLER design pencils, to get the lightest strokes I use the 3H, its the thinnest pencil. It makes deeper creases if you press too hard but if you sketch quickly and not exactly "put your hand down in one place" you should be fine. Be light and quick with your sketch. It takes a while to get used to but you'll get the hang of it. I usually go back over to have final lines with felt pens when I'm done or I just erase some lines and put others darker, maybe add some shading but I've only done that a few times.

Didn't really want to post this in the gallery.

Practicing shading before bed, first digital from scratch... Gimp is hard to do that with.
Next time I'm using photoshop.

My elf-self. Was skyspark then turned to shadowtree.... Blah, I just am not good with names, but I think I'm going to change it again.

Ooo! Neat self-elf! She looks like a fun and flirty girl. Really like her eyes and hairstyle. Somehow this picture looks a bit like it could also fit into our pinup calendars. ;)

If only there was an elf self pin-up calender.... I'd probably enter for that  ;D
Thank you! I have almost elf-thick hair so I have to have a whole lot of layers in order for it to look anything towards good. But as an elf, lots of layers is a good thing, your hair would get so poofy! The eyes were the very last thing I did, I didn't spend as much time on them but I think it turned out for the better.

Thank you very much!  :D
I imagine if I was an elf, I'd always be jumping tree-to-tree like a monkey, swinging on the branches and scaring humans. I guess thats why I could never be a wolfrider.... Technically I'd still be in the trees! So I can do as I please  ;)

Your self elf is adoreable. i like how the dark brown goes so well with the pale blue.
