Gosh, I hadn't seen this! To me she doesn't look so burned, more like super-happy with her rosy cheeks. Very well colored. You're really getting the hang of copics.
I like the white highlights. They looks so artsy. With what did you do them?

Heh, thanks! So I didn't go overboard with the white highlights? I kind of always go nuts with the white things XD

The highlights were done with a white pilot CHOOSE ballpoint pen. In order to get it as white as I did at some places, I had to twirl my wrist in circles. Wouldn't recoment it for tiny precise things like the coneheads star eyes, but to highlights like this, it works rather well.

Okay, so as you guys probably know, I have been on vacation. Spain. It is a lovely country, and I feel in love in the city of Valencia. Even said that I'll bring everyone I like there at one point.  ;D

But for now, I'll just share some art.

Merman version of Lilac. Done at the airplane. I kinda wonder how he would be as a merman. I mean, if he was just a wavedancer then he could abandon the watery domain to pursue the lovely drink, but as a merman/mermaid, you're kinda stuck in the water...

Uploading it here because I can do better.

---

Should I be ashamed that these look a lot more free and not so stiff than my serious body figures?

---

I'll always draw at least one tree...

---

Drawn on napkins.  ;D

---

A praying stick figure man. Trying to practice shading. Unfortunately, it didn't pop as much after scanning :/

---

Spunky merman. I was going to ink him, henge the blue lines, but was too lazy. XD

---

Was going to practice noses, bu it turned kinda odd. I love the hair though.

---

This was the last one I did. My cousin asked me to show her some tips on drawing faces, and did this one.

I love drawing kinky hair. But I'm still clueless on why it is called that in english, but I suppose it is more appropriate than the Norwegian one. We call if afro hair.

Yes, that was all for now.

What? You were in Valencia? I lived there for two months! I absolutely fell in love with Spain!
So great, that you were so creative! I especially love the tree, it almost looks like there were defined figures in the foliage if you just look hard enough. Very fluid and organic!

Actually, I was in Alicante, some of the neighboring villages, Valencia, Barcelona and then back to Valencia. It was a wonderful trip.

Been sick for a couple of days, as some of you may know. (Had an all-nighter because I was shit scared about it being a burglar in the house, and when dawn came I had a morning walk in my pajamas... yeah, not the smartest thing I've done.) Yesterday I did some things. They were supposed to be chibi's of Chot, but instead I drew my weird aliens.

Some things I have to explain about them. First of, their skin usually varies between deep red to the palest blue. I was greatly inspired by stars, rather, the light the star gives. If it is a red star, then the light is "younger", thus closer to our time than the bluish white. They have only one hair color, which is white.

Secondly, they have horns. Either one, or two. One also has the so-called no-horns, who stay yellow their whole life. They are humanoid, and if we met them, we would think they only have females, because all of them possess boobies and uterus. To reproduce, they have to connect their horns together. This must be done fairly often, because these horns grow their whole life, starting from when your eyes turn magenta, when your mind and body is ready to reproduce. For some it takes a couple centuries, the oldest one was two million years old before she was ready. After that it must be done very often, because if you don't connect to someone in a long enough time, these horns will grow so big and heavy that your neck may snap under the weight.

Now, if you want children, then a two-horn has to connect with a one-horn. The one who wants the child most will be the one carrying it. A one-horn can connect her horn with another one-horn, but then there will be no child. Same with two-horns. The horn will shrink anyway, so it is not uncommon to couple with someone who has the same number of horns as you do.

The no-horns cannot reproduce at all. They are neither common or uncommon in this society. They face some discrimination, because they do not have to reproduce or have to deal with the nuisance of connecting with others. This leads to the misconception that a no-horn cannot get sick, needs less holidays and thus has to work harder for recognition in work. Then again, some have been able to scrape in quite a fortune with luck and hard work.

... I've talked a awful lot. XD None of these aliens have hair in these drawings, but whatever. They are supposed to be there, I just didn't bother to fiddle with colors to make it stand out.

---

Two thousand years of waiting is over. This means celebration.

---

This wasn't quite as she expected it to be.

---

A no-horn. I went crazy with the colors around her.

There's something incredible cheerful about them. Again, I love the simpleness here.

You want is as a background on your computer? Yes, you may use it as that! I am so glad that you like it.

Some more art, for today.

The second one is my first doe. Cone was hunting these when she and Rill had her accident. I love doe's. They are cute and fun to spot. Mostly happy with this one, but can you tell some of the things I did wrong with it?

No, there is a tail there... it is just hidden in the white. Besides, when a doe is relaxing, aka not tense, you can't see it that good. When they run however, the lead in the pack will "flip it up" which is a sign of danger to the other/others. then they scatter to safety.

Okay, besides that the color is too brown (my reference was more beige, there are some who has a golden brown fur, but that is mostly the light or fawns) the fur is too furry. Doe's look far more sleek, even in the winter months.

But I do very much like this one. :)

Let me present to you, Klara Bergfalk, aka Cowberry Sadist. Again. This woman tends to use me wardrobe, but that's okay.

She is without humor and the last of three siblings. Never excelling in anything she tried, she often felt like a failure. Takes after her father, something which she is not happy with. Her father drinks a lot, and unlike her mother and brother, she can't get him to bed when he is at his worst. It gave her a lot of issues during her teen years.

When she was nineteen, she moved out to have her own life. During one short visit, wherein her laundry machine had been broken, she switched off the smoke detectors in an act of rage. When she had left, her father feel asleep while smoking. Hence, her father and some of his neighbors died in a fire. She has spent the last three years in jail, for negligent homicide.

Aww, thanks. Most of it is old, collected over the years and birthdays, as I don't buy clothes that often. I wear it until it starts to tear or cause me a lot of discomfort. and then it is "in the store, find something which I need and looks good, feel the texture, look at price, try it on, go to the cashier, thank you and goodbye." 2011 was a record on me shopping, because no less than tree trousers tore, and that was what I had. with the exception of my pajama bottoms. And I had to get rid of some other garments which had mold on it.

---

So, nilla, what I said on tumblr about Cone being drunk has noting to do with this sketch! At all.  ;)

The size is wrong, the drawing should get bigger and I drew it into a corner. On size notes, Cone is a little lower than that, but she is partly held up by Beyond (too drunk to stand without support) and is on her toes.

---

A try with Aqua markers from Letraset. Won't use 'em much, they're a pain to use. The amount of water needed to drag the colors out almost destroyed my watercolor paper. What I find interesting though, is that it reminds me of the artwork which my father likes... art of women where the outside ugliness, as my father claims, sets the mood.

---

A try with my newest promarker and a tria marker. The latter is a brush marker which is refillable. Apparently they've taken the xylene out, so no worries about poisoning. The sky was the tria one.

---

Mainly a try of finding a good new base skin color. I used a copic in the past, but it has run out and since I don't like brush markers much I choose to buy promarkers, skin and skin accents.

This guy is mostly harmless. But rotten hygiene, insomnia and talking like you're gonna kill everyone... well, you don't get any friends.

Hair was done with flexmarkers, something I got with the Aqua markers. Like tria and copics they're alcohol based and with brushes, but not refilleable. Kinda like the spawn between a promarker and a copic.

Also, see the shirt? that's what I love about promarkers. By using and using for shading, it almost looks as if you used three, but I only used one.  8)

---

More fiddling with finding the best skin color.

---

Was supposed to be tyldak. But it grew out of me hands.

I'd be honored!! :shocker
Mind, coming up with normal names is not my strong suit.
Hmm, I keep hearing the name Jerred whenever I see the picture of  him.
Jerred seems to mean "descending; down-flowing".

Exactly why I want you to name him! ;D He hasn't accepted any of mine. He wants something special.  ::)

*swings over* Is Jerred okay?

"Won't that imply that my parents are religious and hence abusive?"

Is that a no?

"No."

Jerred it is then.

"I did not say yes."

Really.

*growls* "I want to have Quisling as surname."

Absolutely not.

"WHY NOT?"

Quisling is a name which is not in use. And even if I approved, you'd make it even harder for yourself!

"But I want it."

Now you're being childish.

"You're dumb"

Wow. Classic.

(Honestly, he is worse than Realf.)
