Heh! I was just leaving a similar comment over in the thread on SoC, Windrider -- my only "problem" is that I don't have a good, practical sense of how leather dyeing differs from cloth dyeing! I'm with you in the "old hippie" category (here, let me show you my tie-dye collection
), so it's only that I wasn't sure if leather would wick up color in quite the same delicate way that cloth does.
Maybe it works just the same on nice, soft, thin leather! I'm just curious to know. I've home-dyed more fabric than leather (meaning, no leather at all), so I just don't know.
Or hmm... I wonder if those could even be cloth pieces? *looks again* No, they've got the ragged edges that usually mean leather.
(I personally quite like the tail! For the kind of crowd I ran with in my 20s, it wasn't that unusual a decorative item on clothes, in a certain context. So it feels like it fits the wolfrider context, to me; especially for a young-adult like Chitter.)
