Still struggling with poor Zarhan ... I've rejected five action poses today alone. But at least the other two poses are finished!

Honestly, I hadn't looked at the BoTC comics for a long time (I tend to re-read the short story anthologies instead), and had I remembered how much I disliked the costume design of his one and only appearance, I may not have claimed him knowing that I would have trouble with the clothed pose.

It's the pants. I can't get his legs to look right in those pants no matter what I have them doing. *cries*

Hopefully I'll be able to settle on something by the end of tomorrow so I can get him done and move on to something else.

EDIT: Apparently all I needed was some public venting so that my brain could concoct something usable. Working on lines now.

That's why it would be a challenge.

Basically what makes Bonewoman ugly is her nasty character. I've had so many comments from people saying I make trolls look pretty and lovable, but that's mainly because I make them... smile.

I actually don't think she is that ugly, physically. Sure, she wouldn't win a beauty contest, however it is more her narrowmindness, plotting and accusations which makes her less than apealing to be with.

Sexy pose would be quite challenging though.

BTW, was she exiled after what The Thief did?

Hmmm, if she still had any high standing in the tribe, she might have been allowed to stay. Tho, if Olbar isn't worried about her 'powers/ranting' anymore he'd likely kick her out for her actions.

However, I also think that she was at least banished. She was nowhere to be seen, when Cutter re-visited Nonna and Adar. Not that this must mean anything...

You know, she might have lost her "name" so to speak, if it was known that she had fingers to play at Thief's plan to become chief. Not sure it was ever discovered, bit hard after he died. But even so, I think spreading "blasphemy" which the rest of the tribe may see it after the proof is probably a serious crime among them. Even if they believed it prior to Cutter and Skywise coming and proving it "wrong."

Another thing, Thief, was he like the widowed woman in "A Man Called Horse" if anyone of you have seen that movie? A scavenger whom grows weaker and weaker, to eventually die in the harsh winter, or forced to flee in exile?

I think I need to take a break from formatting these calendars, because I am starting to see pinups in my dreams!

I updated the character list in the second post on this thread. Everyone is now color coded as to what year they are in. For 2014 we have maroon-brown for those that are done and red for those who are still in progress. Yellow means that character still needs an artist, if that artist can get a pinup or bonus art done in two weeks!

So, everything for 2014 needs to be to me by Feb 4 or 5th. I can't believe the sheer amount of creativity displayed in this project, but this is the home stretch now! So far we are only half way there to a 2014 calendar!

I like to take Sefra. I love drawing the long lines of the high ones bodies.
The calendars look awesome btw! So many different stiles, it's really fun to look at.
