Hello there

Ah, death is an unwelcome guest in most cases. I've seen it often enough, in close family also, so I know how that feels. *channels energy again over the net*
That's why all of you others: Spend the time with the ones you love while there is still opportunity. Have good times together whenever possible. I was thanking myself up and down the road that I did so with my father before he died. You can't turn back a wheel of time once it is too late. Love/Lifemates, relatives, friends and pets.

Well. On my side I returned a few hours ago from work. Yes, Friday before xmas and I worked til late night. But I had to get some things done and finally I was not having to care for anyone or anybody but myself and my own work. Sometimes, in these weekends alone at work or in the evenings I get more stuff done than the whole week before.

So at least now I am free of that work burden (besides, erm gift wrapping and buying some food for the holidays before shops close) and I can get back to work here. *sigh* Every year the same, suddenly there is christmas and new year and I drop out of work too suddenly.
I rarely become ill in December. Well. Not before holidays. Back at school I always became ill when holidays started. :(

Anyway. I dearly hope to get Rayek done til 1st of January, 2012.
I mean, I am really shocked whenever I look at the file dates. I started in August or something. Then some file from Sep, Oct, then early Nov and besides last weekend no change til now. Okay, I finished Skimback meanwhile, but still, it shocks me. So enough writing, going to bed and tomorrow going on with his noble- & greatness. ;-)

Besides all that I wish everyone a good and peaceful christmas time, regardless if you celebrate a symbolic date of a birthday or not. It's somewhat strange when you see Muslim or Hindu colleagues at work on holidays like nothing happened.
And remember, spend good time with the ones close to your heart, don't make christ's birthday a (more than necessary) stressful event.

@Windrider:
I'll send you the Skimback 2500 x 2500 PNG tomorrow.

Woot! Willowgreen's spread is finished and sent off. Hoping to get the coloring on Zarhan's bonus art knocked out tomorrow (as it's bedtime here).

I don't think I've asked since it was apparently settled- but who are we printing with? Last I checked, you were looking for a printer and had to ask Richard for permission to make physical copies, since we couldn't go through the EQ Cafepress store.  Are we donating proceeds to Wolf Park, as was one of the earlier ideas? Printing at cost so there is no profit to worry about? Something else?

The plan is to print using Lulu (coil-bound, A5-sized), and we'll be pricing it at cost (because these won't be cheap), so there won't be any proceeds to donate. Richard has given his blessing. :)

FYI, Windrider has given me almost 40 of the 53 images so far.  We're getting closer every couple of hours!

I am quite curious to also see how much the shipping cost to Europe will be. They do ship outside the U.S, don't they?

Of course.
http://connect.lulu.com/t5/Shipping/Shipping-Times-and-Options/ta-p/33707
they are also available partially in different languages e.g.
http://connect.lulu.com/t5/Verbinden/ct-p/de_DE

Would need to find out the payment options but maybe int. money order, a local bank account or otherwise credit card or a Paypal solution maybe.

It needs more progress on calendar artwork here. At least action pose is coming into shape. I also noticed that we're short on Rayek, just one finished yet.

The count-down is on for the 2012 Fan Art Calendar to go live!  Should be later tonight if Foxy's internet connection holds up through the Maine snow and cold!

Gack! Internet went down halfway through that, but some frantic modem and router restarting later I was back in business. It's been a nervewracking couple of days, lemmetellyou.  Unreliable internets is not fun.  :gaah

Windrider, the mic is yours.  :jam :beer

It's up!!!

This. Is. Epic.

Will be back with more intelligent comments after enjoying art.

Edit:
Is it just me, or has everybody outdone themselves for this calendar? I'm constantly going "wow"!
:hail to Foxeye and Windrider for putting it all together!

The finished formatted calendar is here, for those who may be only seeing the gallery of entries:

Oh, and remember there are still two more years to come!

It's six in the morning here and thanks to this I am wide awake!
Wooooooooooooooooooooow! Thank you everyone!
This is mind blowing, so much more than I could have imagined. I think I have tears of joy in my eyes!
Thank you also Windrider and Foxeye for making this possible!

Edit: I am still not able to think clearly, still dazzled, but I'd like to add how wonderful the calendar pages are put together! Very clever! Some made me go "wow" others had me laughing. Must have been soooo much work to do this!

Edit 2: Haha, I will so not work, but comment all day long!  :lol

Edit 3: I hope that this will get some spotlight and attention on the EQ page and on Facebook. I think this shows just as much effort and love as the fan trailer. May not have cost so much money, but time and effort! I really hope that Wendy and Richard see how much love fans still have for Elfquest

Awww! How is one expected to work when there are so many cute and tasty elves out there?  ;)
Good idea with the bonus art on the sides. Must keep myself from watching elves and work. God, this is exciting. My screen is bursting with all the creative energies set free in this calendar. :)

Just a side note, but I cannot see the calendar cover with Skywise on it bigger. I just can't get enough, can I? ;)

Just got this reply to the announcement from Richard, which I wanted to share with you all:
