Severe Withdrawls
« on: January 06, 2010, 09:08:34 AM »

I got the email but I had to see for myself.  I went to Elfquest dot com and clicked on the Scroll of Colors and though I don't post there much, I am finding I am having major withdrawls.

How is everyone else holding up and are there other sites that if you cannot get to for one reason or another, you have major withdrawls?

Yah, I've had sites like that before, so I sympathize. :) Fortunately I seem to be between sites right now...well, except maybe for this one, but since it only goes down when I work on it, I'm usually too busy at those moments to have withdrawal. :P

I can't wait to see what the new elfquest.com looks like.

I really don't check the scrolls that much, I can't even login half the time, so don't miss it. But yes, I've had that feeling with other sites as well. :]

Mouse, if you intended that to be a joke, please in the future put a little more context so it's more apparent.

"Severe withdrawls," friends?  I thought the original post was an attempt to be humorous through hyperbole, and was playing along.

When a joke is word for word the same as an insult, the onus is on the poster for clear delivery. Especially on the Internet. Do not assume that familiarity and camaraderie will carry your joke when little familiarity exists. Yet, anyhow.

You would know.  *crack up*  (His language turned really foul after he started a job where coworkers regularly referred to each other as "b*tches" and used "f*ck you" in place of "hello".  Made domestic life a bit interesting for a while.)

We're working it! :)

But yeah, what he said. Lots of folks out there would have meant what you said, sadly, so until we all know each other well, this guy is our friend -----> ;)
