Looking for a comic
« on: April 24, 2017, 11:10:13 AM »

I finally got around to reading The Discovery. Online. I'm super grateful that they've made them available - as I haven't seen that anywhere in stores here.
The thing is, I prefer paper over digital, and would love to own both Searcher and the Sword and The Discovery, with the latter being more important to me.

My question is if there's anyplace trustworthy that still sell them at a reasonable price? And deliver internationally? Even used copies are fine, as long as they're not falling apart.

I'm seriously getting desperate.  TT.TT

Um, not really going to give away mine ;) *clings to EQ collection* and it seems TFAW.com doesn't have it. You may be lucky on ebay.com or your localized ebay (got a good bunch of my EQ books from there, especially out-of-print-ones). The Pinis are also selling there directly occasionally: http://www.ebay.com/sch/eqstargazer/m.html
Though Discoveries and SatS don't seem to be up right now.
Not sure if Dark Horse ( https://www.darkhorse.com/ ) will re-issue all those one day. Otherwise there are sometimes comic book stores that still have them on shelf, but it won't be an easy task to find those. Some people also sell on Amazon (also used ones) or on other platforms.

Would Amazon.com work? Not sure if they would ship to you but they are available.

https://www.amazon.com/Elfquest-Searcher-Sword-Wendy-Pini/dp/1401201830/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493742391&sr=8-1&keywords=elfquest+the+searcher+and+the+sword

https://www.amazon.com/Elfquest-Discovery-DC-Ed/dp/1401209580/ref=pd_sim_14_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=1401209580&pd_rd_r=4K831MZ26S8SS8BC2M9D&pd_rd_w=HROvR&pd_rd_wg=ZhKH5&psc=1&refRID=4K831MZ26S8SS8BC2M9D

I also saw both on ebay, so I'm sure you'll be able to get copies without much trouble.  ;D

The thing is I'd prefer a more trustworthy sources, something with more safety nets. Bad experiences with Amazon and Ebay... But if I can find "legit" sellers from those, sure, and if they ship to the end of the earth. I tried looking at the official Ebay page, but they didn't have these, or then I was blind. Thanks for the tip.

You might be able to order it via your nearby comic book store, they may know other channels. That's what I did too, and I bought the volumes btw, not loose comics. And to clarify; I am in Europe, so it was internationally. ;)
