O.o
Contrasts? It offers everything you could imagine.

I would say that depends on your perspective, and your interests. lol.

Listed are just the combinations that are taken by people already.

Ah. Thank you.

If they're not yes listed, likely yes.

Timmain/Winnowill is taken, though. And Timmain as "day, light" is already so, too. Well, maybe send Maggie a PM.

Ah, I see. Thank you.

PS: Rayek offers a lot in terms of contrasting others. ;)

Never really enjoyed drawing him. Just not my cup of tea for when I want to have fun and play. Besides I see a lot of him on this list as it is and if one cannot choose one that has already been taken, well then .... there ya go. ;)

Hmm nothing available that really moves me very much. Are the only choices what are listed?

If I could choose .... could I choose something like Leetah/Winnowill - day/night - healing/wounding?

or Timmain/Winnowill? Light/dark as well?

Still think portraits was a good theme, do not see why it can't run more than once, but liking the chiefs one as well!

Portraits come to mind ... like the backs of the originals.

Let everyone play and see what they come up with.

Sometimes less structure is more fun anyways. JM2C

Am hoping to have more time this year ... I'd be interested in 2017 and seeing the calendar continue.

Hear hear!

I had a few additions for a few supplemental pieces for the calendar, but suffered a hugs setback, when my cat knocked over my water bottle that I was using for my brushes all over my watercolor paintings and I was in another room at the time so I did not catch it right away. :(

Sooo having to redo them completely. So can't do anything yet theme-wise! But generic themes are totally workable for a temporary fix ... the real heart of the community is the text that we write in our posts and the writing and art submissions ... that is what makes this space great really and truly.

This place I don't think would ever really suffer if it had a few weeks where it used a generic theme, it's not like none of us would stop visiting this place just because it has a generic theme, you know? Functionality is 1000 times more important than eye candy .. JMO though!

I've customized themes for a variety of CMS platforms and forum boards like phpBB and others. SMF can't be all that much different really, it's all based off the same things pretty much is my understanding.

If you need someone to tinker with theme stuff, I can do that if no one else wanted to.

No way could I do one in that shirt of a time frame with school, a 60 hour a week job and doing themes and site on the side, so I'll have to pass sadly.

But I could always play around and do a customized one afterwards and if it was liked enough I'd be happy to give it to the site as an option (I always prefer it when sites allow members to choose from a variety of themes myself), if that would be something anyone would like.

Thanks guys, that is really sweet of ya'll to say.

All I can say on the lips is ... if you practice, they WILL get easier. I have failed thousands of times more than I have ever succeeded once, honestly!

Always willing to help out where I can, it's the least that I can do!

If nothing else, I can extend a permanent offer to be a solid back-up plan should the need ever arise.

Ooooh I agree that character is so original, from her hair to her outfit! LOVE it!

And yup, if ya give them a pain in the butt style - then it's a pain in the butt every time you have to draw it! LOL!

Let me add in as well, since I'm already paying for my servers - I can easily host the site without additional costs, I would consider it as giving back to the world of ElfQuest for everything that it has brought to me over the past 30+ years. I can commit to keeping it going for as long as there is interest, although I will admit, when the EQ movie hits ... I might need to move it to it's own dedicated server! LOL!

As a long term member of this site in all it's incarnations and on the EQ forums, I'd be proud and happy to help wherever I could.

I've been really sick and so haven't been up to much, but on the path to recovery.

I can offer what we have here and a bit more. I run two commercial grade servers - so hosting isn't an issue.

I can offer stability and techie stuff. What I'd need is a team of folks to help me with the day to day stuff.

Not sure if this is needed or not, as I haven';t read through the entire thread, but it's what I can do to help.

I have been in and out of the hospital for the last few months and as a result I have done practically zero art, I've been really struggling just to work and do school work so that I could stay in school - as my school loans depend on me keeping that going or my bill situation would get out of hand if I had to start paying back those too at the same time as my medical bills.

I can't make this deadline - I barely started painting when I hit the hospital for the first run.

I have no idea if there are any extensions available, but if not, I'll need to sadly drop out as there is just no way I can do them both in three days. :(

I am so sorry, I kept hoping my health would get better in the nick of time but that didn't seem to work out for me.

Discovered EQ in 1979, and I was 9 years old. So I followed the original quest from the very beginning, and still do! :)

I've been really really sick lately (been kind of down and out for almost three months, ugh) so I'm running a little behind, but still planning to make the deadline!

See and I wish I could work using form and color more ... I have a harder time with that I think than most - I taught myself to draw using Wendy's strong inks, and though in *many* cases she painted with her inks using negative and positive spaces rather than lines, I tended to focus on the lines.

I'm trying to break away from that more and more, but its very hard to do.
