In Cardboard Wolf-Head Helmet - Posted Jan 26, 2014
Berit, it took me about 4-6 hours to create the cardboard form for the helmet, and another 2-4 hours to apply the Aluminum Foil tape (which seriously, THIS is the stuff you want to rule the world with, not Duct Tape!!!). i had a LOT of fun creating it, now i have to figure out what my NEXT project will be, lol!

nope, my head fits in through the bottom, though i have to have my long hair in a low ponytail instead of a high one, otherwise the helmet doesn't sit-correctly on my head. you can see really well out of it, though it is harder to see up (not LOOK up, just the vision is blocked by the snout). i HIGHLY recommend Aluminum-Foil Tape for any projects that need to look metallic, it works REALLY well!!!
In Wire ElfQuest Earcuffs - Posted Jan 19, 2014
i actually have a fantasy earcuff-making business that i started in 2012, so i had a LOT of practice making earcuffs before i attempted these. they are made from copper wire. i currently do not have this exact style available for sale, but i am working on a prototype to put in my shop soon! i have a smaller elf earcuff that i sell in gold-tone or sterling silver wire, and in the almost-2-years my shop has been open i've sold 31 Sterling Silver sets and 57 Gold-Tone sets, and that's just the elf style! if you guys would like to check out my Etsy shop, it's here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/FantasyEarcuffs
and i have a Facebook page that i host giveaways on here: https://www.facebook.com/ElfEarcuffs
In Home-Made New Moon - Posted Jan 19, 2014
i made it just for fun! it started out as making simple cardboard swords to play with my daughter, but i couldn't stand just having a plain boring sword, so i spent about 6 hours (or more) making New Moon for myself! and yes, i do still sword fight with my daughter with it, and it has survived every battle! the key is a single layer of cardboard that i cut in the appropriate shape, then covered in Aluminum-Foil Tape (i LOVE that stuff!!). the pommel is MANY MANY metallic candy wrappers (cleaned after the candy was removed) rolled into a ball for the base, then once again covered with the Aluminum-Foil Tape after the key section was added. the blade is completely 3D, and i do have pictures of it before i added the Aluminum Foil Tape. i'll post one or two of those as well. also, i just finished (but haven't gotten pictures of yet) making a Wolf Head Helmet from the battle for the Palace, and i'll be posting pictures of that as soon as i get some good ones!
In #6: Mer-Rayek - Posted Jan 12, 2014
well, not EXACTLY WaveDancer, i didn't follow their standards too closely, just went with mer-folk style, lol. i plan on doing more of these, i'm already planning on doing an older Cutter with his cheek-fur, so i'll end up doing an older Rayek eventually as well, i'm sure!

nah i was just trying to make her hair crazy, as if uncontrolled and wild. though i could definitely see putting tentacles as her hair if i ever re-try drawing this. it would give ol' Winnowill an almost-Medusa look to her! great idea, thanks!
