Wonderous Stories
by Amberfox
Songjoy loves music, sharing stories, and learning about and from others. He has encountered Treefox (Treefox), Marut (Berit), and Laluna (Czarine) and is playing music to tell them his own wonderous stories before encouraging them to the same. Treefox is enjoying the music, Laluna is lost in the imagery he is creating, and Marut is cautiously curious about this stranger. Even Froggy is happy. At least that's what I envisioned when I was drawing this. I wonder if Laluna can sense Songjoy's empathy or if Marut can detect it somehow which makes him even more cautious. Anyway, since Songjoy is similar to Marut in that he occasionally wanders to explore, experience, and learn, I suspect I'll be doing a few more of these types of illos with others' characters. Hope you enjoy.

Ohhhh!! Yessss!! Oh woooooow! I would so enjoy the music! I love your interpretation of Treefox and her clothes look gorgeous! Man, it's a treat seeing your art. I said it before, but I wish we all could sit together like this. Songjoy is so so handsome again. I love this setting. Let's go to such a beautiful forest.
Aw, I miss Laluna and Marut. Oh, I love this so much! Thank you! |

Imagine this much more vibrant since the colors are somewhat muted (especially the purples and reds). Again. Argh! Anyway, I'm glad you approve of Treefox! It's always uncertain when you depict others' characters, but I'm happy I could portray her properly! I will likely soon post the black and white version of this because I think it's always enjoyable to see both versions. Sometimes details can be clearer in one version or the other. I miss the Fins as well - where are you two?! And if you have Laluna, you must include Froggy (I think he had a name at one point but couldn't find it). I also wish we could all sit together and draw, imagine the inspiration and contributions! Ah well, I suppose we'll just have to imagine being in that forest until we can manage to do so. More to follow!
Wow. Can you imagine the two of us trying to draw with Songjoy and Treefox (probably Amberfox as well) hovering over us making editorial comments at every pencil/stylus stroke? |

Just upped the saturation of this to have a bit more vibrancy. Not up to the original, but it's an improvement. And that background...a prime reason as to why I so loathe doing backgrounds!

Oh, the new upload does really look different, well, more vibrant!
And I would so love to experience setting in real life. As you say, we have to live this in our imagination. Haha, but to imagine actual Songjoy and Treefox commenting our work... Both funny and scary. And I didn't know that Froggy had a name! Aww! I love him. |

Don’t know about Treefox, but I suspect I’d be on the receiving end of some serious scrutiny. Songjoy is a symbol maker. Yeah, I think the saturated version looks better, although still not as vibrant as the original.

Hahaha, that sounds rather frightening. I hope that Treefox would be supportive in my struggles as she knows them as well.
I guess she would also be a symbol maker and maybe something like a tribe chronist. As there are no photographs, she would try to paint events to be able to recollect later and leave for posterity. |
