Preparing to Perform

Thought I'd post this so May doesn't languish like the rest of this year so far. And he's not happy with me since I had to put aside coloring this to work on the calendar. Such a prima dona. Anyway, here's Songjoy when his hair was dark. Long story, but I'll be posting his CIS soon. His hair was very dark before he instinctively used his empathy to tragic effect on a human about to kill him, and it turned stark white from the stress. Slowly, his hair has been regaining color. I haven't decided if he returns to his dark colors or not, but so far the color of this is making me consider it very strongly. Maybe this is once the color returns, haven't decided that either. Anyway, Songjoy preparing for a performance and in a moment where he's not drenched in loose silks.

Hellooooooo!!! Wow, so much new art from Amberfox! Yay! *fans herself* This is a hot look! Very inviting. An look at those shiny, thick and silky locks of hair. Love it. Your inking is top-notch as usual. I am curious how his hair color will evolve.

Well, I've been holding off on everything until I was done with most of the illos I've done of him. So, calendar calls, upload what I have and finish the rest later. Told you he was demanding of images of him! Glad you're enjoying these! Songjoy has a mass of thick hair that he plays around with, especially the "bangs," which can change up his overall appearance. Of course, the hair going white, then blonde, then gradually regaining the dark colors changes things up, too. He's a slender guy, and I'm not entirely happy with the way he looks here, but the face is almost spot on. Hey, shading is my thing!

I think I actually prefer the long side swept bangs best; very sexy, in my opinion.

Yeah, his hair is very thick, especially at the scalp. He's usually smiling, thought I'd given him a slight smile, but everyone can make their own interpretation of his expression. Maybe something's not right with the music; can't be that he's being observed, he's not shy! Jim Morrison? I suppose, never would've made that connection. Maybe it's the just the hair!

Nothing wrong with The Doors, although they're not very high on my love that band list. And I swear Songjoy is by no means based on Jim Morrison! If I were to base an elf on a Doors band member, I think I'd go for Ray Manzarek first. Hm. Not sure. And Songjoy rarely runs around shirtless. I just wanted him shirtless in this illo. Mwahahaha!

Oh, I believe the similarity to Jim Morrison is pure coincidence! Especially as he doesn't look that similiar in other pics. But anyway, I don't mind seeing him shirtless!
