I'm so happy to have some fall colours in the calendar. This is such a warm and peaceful scene, something I don't think Nightrunner got to experience all that often.

The sketch you premiered earlier has NOTHING on the final product! Wow! This is gorgeous, and such detail in the leaves and that very happy wolf face. One cannot help but smile with Nightrunner when looking at this. I'm honestly not one for autumn, but this truly sets a lovely stage for such a great character. I think this would make a perfect poster or painting in any room.

Aww, thank you! It is exactly what I tried to show with this pic. And the praise for this idea must really go to my husband. I loved it immediately when he proposed it to me. Nightrunner was such a great wolf. The scence in which Cutter says goodbye is still heartbreaking. And I am a sucker for fall colors, together with symbolizing the end of his life the setting was an easy choice.

Can a wolf look accomplished? I guess so, when I observe this image. Wonderfully framed by autumn mood (like in one of your photos ;-) ) and this possibly being a hint for the autumn of life?
The image does have a good emotional impact. |

Love seeing some wolf action! Nightrunner was a great wolf, so much personality, enjoying his twilight years in the forest where he belonged. The leaves and the sun is gorgeous. It really adds to the fall imagery. It is also great use of perspective, with the background, the wolf and even some branches in the foreground.

Nightrunner for the win! Great and unusal choice for this year's calendar theme. And those autumn-y vibes are just delicious. Love the bright and warm colors!
Looking closer it seems as if he just saw somehing that gave him a miscievious idea. Or is he just watching the leaves fall...? |
