Mermay 2022 - Dragon

The whole May I was flooded (pun intended) from everywhere with beautiful Mermaids telling little story's in the pic and found a list where the 29Th May is titled with the word "Dragon". Not the official mermay.com list I see now. Anyways - I was thinking of Smaug and came up with this idea.
Completely drawn on a tablet - took me about 15 hours I guess

Ohhh, that's a lot of details! I love the idea of a gigantic mermaid. Is that a painting on the right? The little lama (?) figurine is adorable. I love the fact there's whole statue above her.

OHHHH! What an awesome concept! The great mermaid guarding her hoard! I also love the sparkliness and shinyness and aaaalll those details! What a great pic! Wow!!

I am happy you like the great mermaid idea. @nilla: The painting was planed as a shield but didn't envolve to it. I couldn't make it look like one, so I leave it like a painting. Ships do have paintings on board, do they? looking nervous... @Yeee:There are 4 jade figures, a Fish, a Dung beattle, a Horse (sorry, no lama but it look like one I do admit) and a Bunny. (l to r). The blue blobs shall be aquamarine. There is a fossil snail at her fin. But no blue snail was planed. Are you thinking on your smoking snail? I did not intended to draw it. @Treefox: I have learned to sparkle from the great meastro Treefox. - and Disney. And from the paint brushes in my new drawing program. I just must have to use them! So nice ones! It was very hard for me to draw this because I never ever draw underwater scenes before. Just once before I've drawn a top down perspective, was kinda hard too. I would have liked to draw Winnowill after that but the time is up now. No more mermaids. Maybe next year. |

Nah, I didn`t think of my cigarette snail but any snail. (btw. I wouldn`t be angry if anyone get inspired by me and draw ones own version of a character of mine. Just in case you thought that I would be angry. no worrys!) Those snails would simply fit into this scene. And it looked like one of the cute sea bunnies (snails), now it turned out to be a dry-land bunny jade figure, lol.

The sea bunny snail - oh, yes, that is a jade figure now. I like that comment <3 Good to know that you won't get angry if anyone draw your characters. Often it is lot fun to see them drawn by someone else
