I love seeing the Go-Backs in December. This is such a frosty image, I can almost feel the cold.

Frosty! The den looks really warm and welcoming. I really like the lighting here, it's just what a winter night is like!

Thank you!! Yes, my central idea was this contrast between warm and cool. It's something I have always loved about the Go-Back's world. And I am a fan of winter and of coming inside on a cold day like that.
Man, I struggled here... Adobe Sketch isn't updated anymore and there seem to be more and more bugs now... So from now on I will try to use Procreate. But in researching the Go-Back's lodge for my drawing, I think I noticed for the frist time that the entrance is shaped like a face with a gaping mouth! Talk about details and noticing things after over 30 years of consuming Elfquest! Kudos to Wendy for drawing all those details and enriching the world of Elfquest.

I guess I am too shy to use few colours. This one is very effective in that, blue, white, grey and black, but it works, and a single spot of contrast with the warm light from the cave. Though it is in competition with the cold two-moons-light. But the warm light shines like an invitation, while the female snow elf in the center invitites, but we need a bit more rational thought for that, not just a reflex, to recognize her face and gesture, that this is likely meant as a "Hello, welcome (back?), come near, it's warm inside!" But thus it speaks on two levels to the observer.
It's a bit hard to guess what the other guarding elf seems to think. Is it a wary glance over to her?
Ah, I miss these iced trees. Hopefully this winter will still bring some moments of snow.

It turns out very beautiful even by the Adobe Sketch issues.
That the entrance is shaped like a face I always pushed aside as a young reader. I though I see it just because I always see a face or figure in everything. But if you see it too, the shape must be meant by Wendy. I love that - it really enriches the world!
That you choose to draw the entrance from the side is a nice touch. To see the light fall out of it and onto the snow is a very good choice!
Love the greeting (Kahvi?) and the chilling Go Back on the snow. It really looks frosty.

Oh, now that you mention it, I can absolutely see the troll mouth! I also really love the intensity of the blues and that winter landscape! Too bad about the program, it's always so annoying when it gives trouble.
