Rolled up character
by Yavia
This is another one of the rolled up characters. He is bold with a arrow-whip. I do think that is not so intense as it could be. BTW he has a lot of same features as the other one I rolled up. It was fun nonetheless.

Looks a little like a male for of Amber. And a touch of Redlance. Red-orange, green and full action.

You got to be kidding me! This guy turned out amazing! Man, that pose is pure win! Love him!!! Mine always look so lame and cheezy in comparison.
But I finally got started on the other one we did together as well. |

Oh no ... don't say yours look lame, Treefox! That's not true! I just have had the chance to draw something bold. And I should have taken daylight as background - he is not very outstanding to see dark color on dark color. I can't wait to see yours and I have allready rolled up anotherone - and again, he has short hair. Where have all the longhair dude's gone?
jaRf, I think the similarity comes from the color of hair and the two braids. But - now I see it, the color of clothing is kinda Redlance style. I rolled redbrown and green for them. The leafs on his shirt are supposed to be feathers. But the flying leafs are leafs from the bushes. Hard to see, I see. I messed that up. After drawing Lord Voll with all the feathers I can't draw feathers anymore Thank you all so much for the words on the pose. I really do like it too. Wanna draw more of him. |

Absolutely amazing dramatic pose that really draws the viewer in! The inclusion of a simple but effective background really completes the action and feel of the illo. I think the dark background works just fine for him; clearly, he's nocturnal and it makes his hair, skin, and feathers stand out. Never really been into the multiple braids, but all of the characters rolled so far with them have all turned out stunningly, and he is no exception! I wasn't sure if the decoration on his top was feathers of leaves, but either way, it added more dynamic movement and color to him. if you'd have made them darker with hints of blue, I'd say he had been stealing feathers from my house (Towser was mostly green and blue). I think you did fine with the feathers, although the ones in his hair, arm, and boots are more detailed. Either way, he's a very interesting looking character that should be given a name and a bit of history. Yes, more illos of him!
