Old Clearbrook
by Treefox
I really struggled whether to spam the site with my old version of Clearbrook’s dress. But maybe it will make you giggle a bit like I did when I rediscovered it.
I must have been about 14 years old when I drew this...

Wow, I am impressed! Even as a 14 year old you clearly had developed certain stylistic parts that we can still recognize in your traditonal art to this day! The design manages to be very sparkly but also fits Clearbrook's color scheme.

Aww, thanks! Yes, I can definitely recognize so many things I am actually still using the exact same way today (when drawing traditionally that is). I was definitely so much more prolific back then.

Hey, I think we discovered EQ at about the same age, and by the same method (family member)! I too was far more prolific until around graduate college. That really absorbed a lot of time. I think this is a wonderful rendering of Clearbrook; you maintained her overall facial structure and grace. Despite your own clothing design, I think the outfit suits her well, providing it's for some sort of indoor celebration. I think she's too practical to wear something like that in the forest for "fun," but for a special occasion, definitely! And you're far braver than I; I don't think I'd have the courage to post anything I drew from way back when...

Aw, thanks Amberfox! I don't know, I guess the art is so old and I was just a kid, that I am more amused than embarrassed. Also it still blows my mind how prolific I was back then! Actually I discovered Elfquest even earlier around the age of 8... my sister introduced me. As if I didn't already adored my sister enough, that made me love her even more.
