In the Return to Innocence timeline, the Go-Backs aren't cut off from their lodge and each other by Rayek's little Glider-soul-fueled temper tantrum, but they do get kind of bored sitting up in the Frozen Mountains with the Palace gone (it did still get flown off to the Sun Village and the New Land in this alternaverse). So, during the events of Plainsrunners, they also start a slow trek southward to try and find some of the other elf-tribes Cutter told them about.
