Boah - Her blue hair is so stunning blue! How do you get the hair so realistic? Man, wish I could do that.
What a beautiful bird it is! Love her expression and the pose. It's such a lovely picture. |

@Yavia: Her hair was the most tedious part to color! It's boring, really. I've found that it's easier to color in the darkest hair color first as a base color, and then start to put lighter shades on top of it. I use big brushes first, small ones last (for individual hair strands). I color hair in sections, so I won't get too bored. And still, I do.
Her hair could've used a bit more highlights, but I was soooo done with her hair I didn't want to touch it anymore. |

Laluna is gorgeous here with her huge, sparkling eyes and pearlescent skin. She looks much like a doll, but full of life and not creepy. I am also a massive sucker for blue jays. They were one of the most common backyard birds when I was growing up and I loved to mimic them. I could get the entire neighborhood flock to respond when I'd call. I also had a neighbor who was afraid of them, and there is a very long running joke about an incident that happened with her. I have missed them in the years I lived in one city, but I can hear them occasionally now where I live. Very comforting to me.

I don't know how you make anything decent in AnonDraw let alone something that actually looks polished. I've tried to fill in my white blobs and it's like a tragedy.

@Amberfox: I had no idea what blue jays were before Berit brought the name up in the RPG. They look so pretty! It's a shame they don't exist in Finland.
@Maggie: My secret is spamming the eyedropper and layering colors with varying opacity. I find it easiest to add colors on top of the sketch, and finishing with line art. Only in this case, I skipped the line art part. |

I am so glad to see a full size of this drawing. I have admired it tiny since the change-over of your icon. It is beautiful, and I am a sucker for purple/violet/lavender eyes.
ps -"someone" would love an NPC named Skylark. |
