Failed Wander sketch - 2019

Though this kinda failed, feeling like adding it anyway! this was during the part when I was designing Wander's looks, here we see he turned out too feminine, he is supposed to look androgynous, but you can still see he is man... expression, neck, jawline and pose make all him look feminine here...changed things up in the finished form...

I recognized him right away, so I don't think this is a failure. This makes me think that he has insomnia but he wants to sleep.
 I love to see how characters have been designed, it's an interesting process!

It is really nice to see the evolution of a character. I also prefer the final version, but I like this a lot.

Nothing wrong with the sketch, especially as you were fleshing out the character. Have fun and play around with it! I don't think he looks very feminine in this; he looks much as you've described him: sickly and exhausted.

for my eye he looks a bit too feminine here, (nothing wrong with feminine guys, I just wanted him to look a bit more masculine) but that got fixed in the later versions of him! thanks for the comments!..
