Awwww! What a wonderful scene! There's so much going on! All those characters! I don't know how you manage to capture every character so perfectly and yet keep your own style! Your coloring choices are magical and always just right. So, is this after Bearclaw and Redlance killed the Longtooth? Looks like Nightfall and Cutter are ogling it's large tooth. Of course, Bearclaw has been ruffled up countless times... but also the fur being tanned in the background would fit. And more happiness by seeing our lovely Rain! Ah, just love the whole pic to pieces!

Thanks! I'm not entirely happy with the colors and lighting in this one, but there are just too many favorite characters to fit everyone on the same illustration and keep the colors unified...
 Actually I imagined a scene where Bearclaw and Strongbow would go hunting bear again, and this was the aftermath. Cutter and Nightfall are examining the bear's claw, though it's not very obvious, I suppose.

Haha, Longbow in the background is just sweet! Telling his adventures with his chief to his lovemate.
Wonderful Forest, beautiful Charakters, the pose of Bearclaw suits him perfectly. And Rain! How nice to see him! |

Actually I didn't think of Redlance's name change, because Nightfall is way too young for that story. Sooooo cute!Haha, that apologetic look toward Joyleaf on Bearclaw's face. "I'm sorry I made you worry, I guess." |

 Each year I look forward to seeing what style and characters you bring to the calendar. I'm feeling nostalgic too, like I'm looking at these characters for the first time but also somehow feeling at home with them. |

Wow, there are so many characters in this piece! And so many different reactions! Kiddie Cutter and Nightfall being mesmerized over the bearclaw, Strongbow's defensive posture with Moonshade in the background, Bearclaw being mildly annoyed and Joyleaf's concern! And Rain! =D And the colors! I love them! Wonderful work!

There's so much happening in this image, every part adding to the story without it becoming crowded - that's hard!
As always, the colours are fabulous, I really like the blueish shadowed undergrowth turning green in the sun. And your lineart is so crisp! |

That has an interesting comic-style look. And much is going on! And it covers a good time-span of characters, from Cutter-cubs over the old marrieds to some which now no longer wander the forests of the world of two moons.
It's a bit hard to read Bearclaw's expression, it might be a bit ambivalent. Hard to believe Nightfall also was a child once.  She does look less fierce than usual when depicted later.

And,of course, you are all correct! The Longtooth was much later. Actually it is obvious and totally my thinking mistake.

@jaRf Bearclaw's expression was problematic! On one hand, I wanted to show that he's trying to soothe Joyleaf, but on the other I wanted him to look a bit mischevious. I probably should've emphasized one of the two.
