I thought I posted this long ago. This is my contribution to the fanart book gifted to Wendy and Richard at the end of the Final Quest.
This is super personal, so I don't have much to add to the contents. Elfquest has changed my life to the better.

I love the colors in this. Cutter looks pretty hot here.

Aww! So nice to see it here.
You really look like a wolfrider on the photo. I love your drawn self and the welcoming faces and gestures of the elves. The text is so heartwarming. Did Cutter rests his foot on the head of the wolf? I would love that  :D

It really looks like his foot is standing on Nightrunner's head! :D it wasn't intentionally, but I like it!  In the picture I am about 4/5 years old, howling with my little bow in hand. Really, I was a Wolfrider before I knew they existed. :love

Just the profile at a distance, you as a cub almost look like I did as a cub (only I had longer paler hair, what a surprise). What a gorgeous and poignant image to send to the Pinis. I think this can be said by so many of us in the fandom; a connection to Elfquest, its characters, and the holts. I instantly identified with the Wolfriders, and I remember howling as a cub. Even howled when I was at my high school prom. Held my gown high enough to run through the slow dancing couples and howled - ah, memories. Thankfully, my date was a long time friend and he laughed at it. Anyway, I hope the Pinis truly understand that their stories have meant to us, and you've captured it very effectively. You also did an amazing job with Cutter and Redlance. And who wouldn't want to be instantly welcomed by Nightfall? Quite a tribute!

Oooh, I love the combination of the drawing (with a "Gift of her own" vibe) with that photo of little you! So touching.

Thank you so much! I am happy to hear that this pic reflects what many felt discovering Elfquest. For that feeling alone I will love it forever!
*hugs Amberfox* That is such a great story! Kudos for howling at your prom! I did that at some occasions at my school, at some point I had recruted some more Wolfriders in my class,
so I wasn't the only one howling anymore.

I can totally understand what you mean! I was pretty much a wild child even before Elfquest and I though that there was no one or nothing that understood that side of me... then I found Elfquest and I fell in love instantly!... and cool that you have a bow! I love bows!... and Yay for Nightrunner being there! and double yay for old school wolfriders! thank you so much for sharing this!...

Thanks Berit! Yeah, I was a total wild child as well... that bow was made by my mother's boyfriend, so nice of him. But these self-made bows always only lasted a couple of days until the wood got to dry and they broke... that year might have been the year I got my first "real" bow for Christmas. One of the best presents ever!
Ans of course the bow is another reason why I fell in love with Nightfall, even though my first loves were Cutter and Skywise! As their quest was the first thing I read and they are also carrying bows with them and seem to be pretty good at handling them too!

Yay, it's nice to art from you again! I love this piece. The way Nightfall reaches her hand to you and does the squint-eye smile. Oh, I just noticed the little image in the background! Haha, how cute! I was very similar, running around in the woods scaring people by imitating animal sounds. I didn't notice Cutter's foot so much, I saw how lowsitting  Nightfall's pants are.
