Marut hanging out with a ladybird
by Czarine
I was chatting with Berit in Google Hangouts, and doodled this there! I had to modify it afterwards in photoshop, because Hangouts leaves uncolored areas transparent. The ladybird is there, because I miss spring, and I wish it would be here already!

Where I live, we call them "winter guests" because when it starts to cool off, they swarm and try to get indoors. There they hibernate in your home/business until it warms again then they find a way out. I actually love them and welcome them in the house. So cute to see how happy he is with the ladybug in his hair (generally in the US they're called ladybugs), and I agree it's good to see him smile and not being smacked by hair or abused by someone (intentionally or not).

Oh my gosh, Amberfox! That is so sweet! I love your little winter guests. Thank you for letting them stay. They are so helpful and cute. We have a lot of them in our garden and are super happy about it. Their larvae eat plant lice. Just love them.
