Strongbow's mum. My choice of colors, since we never saw Wendy colors. Being perverse, as I tend to be, I decided to give her silver-gray eyes because that would make her totally not like her son. I like it when elves aren't just little xeroxes of their parents.

I think it's a wonderful drawing. It really captures the essence of what Trueflight could have been. I can imagine her to be calm and reserved (almost) never losing her nerve, something Strongbow really doesn't have from her. Built like his mother, but so different in character. Maybe he's calm overall too, but that temper! I love your impression of Trueflight. That's the kind of colours I would've thought her wearing too!

Trueflight!! Oh coolness! I've only seen her in "Wolfrider" - is she featured anywhere else? Yay for new characters popping up to spark our imagination
 I love the way you've drawn her- those long limbs and elegant hands (and hands are HARD to draw!). (and I just realized I have to change her eyecolour in a pic of her I'm working on... silver eyes just seem to fit her personality better!) |
