Sad Freetouch
by Treefox
So, I actually just wanted to try out my new sharpies to check whether they are waterproof or not... turned out that they're not waterproof.... ah well.
A sad Freetouch jumped into my mind. I liked to draw Moonshade sad, so I wanted to see if her daughter could look sad too. Freetouch has really grown on me lately.
Edit: Sorry, Startear.... I don't know why I can't get it to show the right way around. Tried uploading it so many times now.

Sorry again, Startear. Didn't mean to delete your nice comment, just couldn't find any way to turn this thing the right way around...

Oh, woe is me, no one loves me and my comments!
Just kidding. I'm glad I don't have to tilt the computer now, haha. As I said in the comment, while this coloring is much much simpler than your other stuff, it is still lovely. The coloring gives it all a soft feeling. I'm glad you drew her with brown eyes, brown eyes are lovely. It looks as if we are watching a private moment. Freetouch looks like she is hugging herself, is she mourning her mother or worried about her father? Or both? |

Aw, thanks! For me, Freetouch always had brown eyes. The coloring was super simple, however, the subtle shadings that actually are there were killed by the scanner...

Ah! this looks sad, I wonder what she is so worries about? her body and expression tell us much, and I think the soft colors make her look vulnerable, like this is a intimate moment, one she is not sharing with anyone else... So nice to see this drawing! thank you for sharing, though I gotta say, there is one itty bitty thing bothering me... there is a speck of some sort right between her lips... or at least it looks like a speck of something that doesn't belong to the picture...
But you made this with sharpies?? Wow! how on earth did you do those wonderful watercolor like coloring here?... |

Damn, I thought that white speck was only on my dirty screen... must have been something on the scanner.
Oh, and I'm sorry if this didn't come across clearly, only the lines were done with sharpies (not waterproof, boo!) the areas are indeed colored with watercolors. |

I know the feeling of noticing an annoying piece of something messing with art!... well, this is an easy fix, if not with re-scanning, then one can remove that bastard of a speck digitally... (if you need help with it, I can also help)...
Oh! okay! I probably was too excited to understand! I'm happy to see art from you!... waterproof stuff is quite hard to find, but I don't think it messed anything up here!... |

Yeah, I will try to fix it digitally, that should be no prob. And I like the way her lips turned out, too. I don't want them messed up!
