Marut's nose makes him interesting to draw from different angles! and I think you managed it perfectly here! I really like the pose you gave him! and that slight smile, he knows already where the deer is heading...

I think what I like best here is the weight. Not only is he crouched down as he is scanning the tracks, everything has a small angle that adds a lot of eight to th picture. It's great! I eapecially like how his left hand is curled around the rock.
