Here is the accepted challenge of my colors to Berit's original black and white illo. I actually finished this a couple weeks ago, but I've been struggling to find a scanner that'll really work well with my colors. At some point, I'm aiming to have my brother give it a go, but that will have to wait a couple more weeks. I'm disappointed with how the colors scanned because Marut's skin tone is PERFECT, almost luminescent...but, that scanner. I need to learn how to use copic markers. Anyway, every single thing here I used at the least three different colors, which is why it took a while for me to complete. And Berit, if need be, I'll be happy to physically mail you the original because this scanner did not do it justice (acceptable, but not a winner). Hope you approve!

I love how googly eyes Marut is and just how much fun Amberfox is having. You always have so much going on in your pictures that I always look twice to see if I missed anything !

Great colors! I especially like the lush foliage. If you're having trouble with scanning, you could try to take a picture of it with a good camera (or find someone who has one). I've found cameras sometimes capture the colors better.

The colors make it more clear that they are... well, wet from the rain. |

Whew! Wipe sweat from brow...I was afraid you might not like it. Hadn't heard from you in a long time, but I can understand. My summer has been pretty bad, and the only thing keeping me from going more insane was drawing (if you like, we can share summer horror stories; mine mostly dealt with family, hospitals, and healthcare). Still, I actually did the majority of this when my car had to be taken in and repaired (never replaced an internal radiator thermostat before, so I let someone else do it). The scanner I used was my mother's, and her computer monitor is so very light that everything on it looks really crappy. This looks so much better on my work computer. Nope, I didn't have any trouble coloring this, although I got a bit carried away with the foliage - didn't know when or where to stop! Anyway, I'm really happy you like it and you are more than welcome to use it on your art page! I'd be flattered and honored. And I PROMISE I'll try and get that final surprise to you by the end of this month.

Well, my things are pretty same as yours, family things, my mother started drinking again and everything went wrong, and I've been so darn ill for the longest time now... it's clear that my lungs simply can't keep up anymore... and I kinda got in trouble with the police because I knocked out one guy who attacked my mother... (here it is illegal to defend yourself, home or loved ones. you get punished more than someone attacking you, what is ridiculous)... but that's that, I'm on a medical leave and so busy going through all sorts of medication tests, but as luck has it, I'm so highly tolerant to all pills and poisons that they haven't found anything that works! hahah! so yeah... these things you made... really came when I needed something like this... thank you so much Amberfox, you have no idea how much these mean to me... thank you...
