Savah
by Rowtiger
Trying a new plate design with the copics, going to have to try this template in my Sketchbook pro to get a better marker blending. The neck seem rather long from this angle but the chin to collar bone distance is correct. Just have to get use to Highone and Firstborn Designs.

Yeah, High One/firstborn anatomy is kinda confusing. You still really captured Savah and her beauty though. I really do love the sun in the corner!
I think you're pretty good at blending already! Savah's face has a beautiful dept to it, and so does the fabric! Especially the green tones. I use promarkers (which are also alcohol based but still give a different look) and the green markers are hard to blend there, they easily bleed to much into one another, but yours really pop! It does seem that your lightest brown was running low on ink though, Savah's skin looks a bit streaky in the middle of her face. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, it's a cool effect, and works especially well on hair. My best advice is to well, experiment. Try to color in light to dark or dark to light, and just have fun. Eventually you will discover what works best for you. Also you can shade on other colors, like adding blue shadows or purple, or just pick colors that are complimentary and shade in that. |

Yes, experiment! See what works for you on which materials. Markers can behave very differently.
I love the flirty teasing look! Something we used to see sometimes on her lately not so much. I miss it! It gave something more mortal, I guess? While in close up there might be some streaks, the choice of colors and shading are damn neat. I love the sun frame, of course! A really love portrait of the Mother of Memory. |
