Ancient Art: Poison

Per Berit's request, here is Poisonthorn's mother, Poison, of Whisper Vine Holt in Shadow Vale. It's really ancient, but I worked hard on this thing and Blackfawn was really pleased with it. Poison was the Winnowill of Whisper Vine, responsible for a lot of attacks and mysterious vanishing of holtmates. Here she is on her throne with her little babies surrounding her, ready to do her bidding. Big spiders are in the abandoned troll tunnels. Anyway, I hope you can see how I've improved over the years, but here you go. Poison is Blackfawn's character in Whisper Vine, now part of Shadow Vale Holt, also run by Blackfawn.

It's so awesome to see your detailed black and white pictures, old or no; all the crosshatching, my my my!

YAY! thanks for uploading it! and Man! for ancient art it is one awesome looking piece! I really like the cobwebs and the spiders and the look on her face, cold look!..

I think I killed a few pens inking that beast in. The cobwebs are courtesy of liquid paper. She certainly was a creepy critter; glad I captured that!

Liquid paper was the original brand name for white out. Does that help? I should've scanned the copy of this, the white effect is even better.

Ah, I think I know what stuff it is, might've used it in artschool... but never got around using it more than that...

I really like this! It really comes over as powerful yet creepy. Also, man the inking is detailed and spot on!

I can just stare in awe! It is indeed powerful and creepy. The details and the mood! Wow! The spiders crawling over her and that fixed stare. Again, should I ever write a novel, can I hire you for the illustrations?
