Still a work in progress, need to add background and/or border, but I thought I'd post now to help fill in the lack of activity. This is Warthog, an adoptable NPC of The Veldtrunners of World Paths Holt. He's the nice, "boy-next-door" sort of guy that can be relied on in dire emergencies, but would much rather devote his time to daydreaming, admiring the beauty of the world around him, and sunbathing. I realize his legs got away from me and are too long, but his limbs are supposed to be long and willowy. Just...let that get away from me when I drew him too large for the paper and didn't notice the mistake until much later. Ah well. His clothes are designed to let him get a maximum tan without being nude, the decorations on his belt and calves are warthog tusks. Again, he's an NPC in World Paths Holt, I think he rides a gnu or something similar.

Must admit that his clothes scare me a little! Hahaha! but I Like the hair-do! and the lineart is brilliant as always! You really do nice shading using only lines... and to me, the legs don't really look too long, is considering that he has thin legs, those always seem longer than they really are...

Why do the clothes scare you? Is it the warthog tusk decoration? Anyway, thank you; I was a member of a ton of offline holts back in the day when they were the primary fandom type, and few of them were willing to spare the expense to copy color work. Almost everything was black and white. So, I did almost all my work for publication in black and white. I would do at least one color reference illo for my own files, though. The legs still look long to me, but if you think they're okay, that's good enough for me. And now that I have my reference book beside me, Warthog is actually in the Duskgreeters Holt, blooded and bonded to a leopard. Oops.

His pants scare me! I think it would be terribly painful to wear pants like those! so tight! though they are nicely shaded!... bonded with leopards? that sure sounds cool!...

I don't think they look that uncomfortable, they look like my underwear, very soft and comfy. I guess it depends what kind of fabric it is.

Well, I suppose if you have the legs for it, hot pants are acceptable! He doesn't seem to think they're uncomfortable, so it works for him. The see-through shirt is actually just the length of the shirt having sizable cutouts around the torso, almost looking like slats with sizable spacing in between. It lets him get a tan at all times, and he does so love sunbathing.

AHAHAHA! Oh no! I didn't mean there was anything wrong with the looks! sorry if it felt like it... didn't mean anything bad... for all I care he could be naked or dressed in tiny laces! what I meant was well... blood circulation... you know... if you are a guy... those tangly bits down there... they don't like being showed into too tight package... might render person sterile you know?... that's what I meant by it looking painful! not that my eyes can't handle it! hahah! sorry for the misunderstanding again! I mean, if men can draw scantly glad women, women can draw men the same! I don't mind that!...

I also don't think that his legs look too long. I like his pretty unique features, including his hair and clothing design. Let's just say the leather is flexible enough for the necessary dangle-ness.

Ah, straggled into singing high notes! Okay, I got'cha. Well, maybe they're just tight enough for support rather than restriction. Yeah, let's go with that! Besides, people actually wear thongs (aka buttfloss) and seem to be okay with that.

Hahahah! me neither! but it is quite a fitting name! and yeah, I've seen the "but-floss" in action... but it is often about the fabric or how big... well, sack, is molded for the thingies... but actually now that I started thinking about it... me have no idea what the genitals of these types of elves look like... the male ones have no... well... you know... bulge... at all even if they wear tight pants... so who knows if they have dangly bits like humans at all... who knows!... but this thing has gotten out of hand! let's get out of the pants area! I really want to see this finished! I think that with background you could see his legs aren't actually too long... sometimes what I draw characters that have no clothing on their legs, the legs seem too long, but as I put the background in place they look different and I like to see what kind of area he likes to hand out in!... probably lots of flowers as he is holding one?...

Well, who knows!? they are magical aliens aren't they? and actually, human male parts are simply idiotic! they are at the height dogs and most animals like to attack... they can easily be ripped apart, smashed or rendered completely useless by other means... and the pain can literally kill... and in some cases after a blow, you can pee anymore by normal means ever... so... it would be far better is they didn't dangle around!... but now we are spamming Amberfox's comments! sorry Amber!...

Most male mammal appendages dangle on the outside, so evolution just thought that was perfect. Now, if you want to talk stupid designs: BOOBS. Well, I suppose it's better than an udder. Ladies, back me up on this: they are extremely painful if smacked, bra's too tight, and they're prone to cancer. Guys love them so much, let them grow'em! Spamming? Na, at least it's a lively conversation! I have considered where to take this illo, and I'm thinking of adding his leopard and maybe some flowers or tall grass. I'm working on tons of art, just have to FINISH them now.

Yes, I do think breasts tend to be more annoyance to the ladies than most people think... I know women with massive breasts and it really is hard for them! my sympathies to those who get stupid douches clinging to them and for the overall annoyance of having them!...
And Amber, Leopard wold fit this just perfectly if someone asks me!... |

Yep! Breasts can be hard to handle. For many women they also tend to hurt depending on your hormonal status... then there is this cancer thing and definitely too tight bras. So hard to find the fitting one! Letting them swing around freely can also be rather uncomfortable depending on their size.... *sighs*
And I agree upon the leopard! Show us your animal magic! Tons of art sounds great to me! |
