Yes, Berit, it has been far too quiet on this site. So, I'm making an entry. Taken from the pinup calendars we did a while back, I was inspired to draw Desertmoon (nicknamed Demyo...long story). I had been working on this thing for ages. The panpipes is the oldest, done a couple years ago while waiting on my car to be worked on, the facial was done only a couple months ago. I haven't decided if I want to add a background yet or not since there's already so much going on, but I thought I'd go ahead and post so you, Berit, don't have to support this site alone. I may get around to coloring this thing someday, but for now, I have plenty of art I need to finish inking. Desertmoon is the co-chieftain of Holt of Grand Illusions, run by me, soul brother of my Amberfox, and is the character of Sean McKay.

HEYA! Amberfox! Nice to see ya here! I was actually thinking about you! I'm actually coloring few of your Marut pics currently! I actually colored one of them earlier but due to my computer crashing, lost the file! But so good to see you and DANG you curl drawings just get more awesome! I don't know how you manage to draw so much details to hair! And I really love the detailing on the weapon here!...

It's great to see more stuff from different people. :) Though I resent the repeated mention of inactivity, when I've uploaded more pictures in the past few months, then I did all of last year. :( Feels like it doesn't even matter, or that I am overlooked. I think it is important though, that people need to keep commenting, even when they have no new pictures themselves. I visit this place several times a week, I always try to leave a comment somewhere, when I see new things.

Back to the picture; I love that the pin-ups keep turning back. It's like an Elfquest meme, every character needs one. ;D So much detail going on here! I love it, though it does make the background look awefully blank. I think color will help, would love to see that.

Yeah, maybe we repeat it a bit too much, but it just seems there is nothing going on every time I am here... and HUH!? have I missed something from you!? I must go and see then!...

Repeating it, doesn't help with it either. Yes, many people have been posting pictures, sometimes people post a whole lot of new things at once, so pictures quickly disappear from the front page. To me it seems only the forums aren't used much, but new pictures are posted all the time.

Afke: yes, I can understand why you'd feel resentful about the comment, but I think it's a common problem no matter what fandom or forum you're in. Being a holt leader yourself, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm about to say. There are times when there is so much activity from so many that you get spoiled, but then there will be long stretches where nothing appears to be happening. Feast or famine, or as I like to say, "like rabid gophers: they briefly pop up out of nowhere and are wildly active, then they vanish for long periods." Those long stretches become very noticeable. Either way, I readily admit you post regularly, and have done so recently with some material for River Twine. Thank you, and I always love seeing your work. As for poor Demyo who's getting lost in all of this, it would be nice to see more characters in pinup. It's a great way to get an idea of a character in a single illo. Coloring always takes me forever, so it may be a while before I get around to doing it.

Yes, now I've been absent for so long as well, but usually I always try to at least comment even if I don't post anything new.
And I agree about the pinups. For me most fun and challenging about the pinups were to get not only sexiness, but the different facets of the character across.
