Terra as a sunvillager - linearts
by Berit
Found more linearts from my older folders! I'm currently adding this kind of old stuff because my scanner seems to have kicked the bucket for good this time!... I doubt I can fix it anymore, well, its more than 10 years old and I've used it on a daily basis... still... I must admit that it feels kind of sad...

Yea! Berit art! You know me and black and white work - always great to see it because you can get an almost better sense of the character that way. It just seems that way for me. This looks like one of your pen sketches?

Yup! my ballpoint pen stuff again!... I also like black and white arts usually more than colored ones... colors usually make pictures a bit too stiff for my taste...

I think that black and white can provide a subtlety in shading and detail that I think often gets lost in color. Maybe that's a coloring skill, and while I enjoy color, often the black and white just looks better, more detailed somehow.

While, as everybody knows, I am a fan of colors, I totally agree that black and white can bring out certain details, shadings and even moods better.
Apart from that, I really, really like that turtle neck outfit! I should draw turtle neck outfits more often, or draw more often at all... |
