Yeah, the bright colors are wonderful. Now that is red hair! So great to see art of my long missed pals here. Redlance really looks at peace with the whole world.

Red, flowing hair and those green, green eyes. Beautiful! He seems so gentle and calm here. It's lovely to see.

Red and green in contrast. Nice. I'd estimate his emotion to be accomplished, satisfied. Like "Oh, that was a bunch of work. Formed a whole tree house today." And then he's leaning back, looking at his work, thinking "Yeah, but it was worth it. Looks comfy and safe."

You've blended the colors so wonderfully, your colored pieces are such a rare but wonderful treat!

Thanks, guys! I'm surprised this came out as well as it did, but I suspect Maggie had something to do with it (the two versions I made using family's scanners weren't nearly this close to the original colors). I intended to submit more, even had four others waiting in the wings, but I ran out of time coloring this that I just couldn't color any of the others before the deadline. The hair took about seven color pencils and a grease pencil, which is likely what killed me regarding time. It did give me something to do while waiting on specimens to incubate. Anyway, I asked for and received a NEW scanner/printer for the holidays. It's supposed to be one of the most accurate for photos and drawings; just have to put that to the test. I've been working on plenty of art, just haven't been able to scan anything since my old one died (I sympathize, Berit). Thanks again, everyone!

Your style is a perfect match for Redlance ! I just love those sleepy/thoughtful green eyes and how soft his hair looks. The small touch of a gold highlight was brilliantly done without over doing it and I just wish he was looking at me, off the page there, with such a gentle fire - whew (*cool down girl*).
Wonderful submission AMBERFOX. |
