Young Ivy

Ivy is a young plantshaper in my holt, Holt of Grand Illusions. I tried to capture the look of her age, about twelve, not quite an adult but not entirely a cub anymore. Her appearance is very slender and fragile with delicate attire. Hope I nailed it for her creator, C.J. (not CJ Meier).

Sweet! I think you captured her fragile built very well. The way the rose is swirling around her is so beautiful. I always love your compositions. Wouldn't have guessed she is twelve, but she does look young. Just today saw a picture of a twelve year old that looked more like sixteen to me... The only thing that is disturbing my eye slightly is that her right hand looks larger than her left.

Yeah, I wouldn't have immediately identified her as 12, either… but that might say more about how seldom I see children of that age any more. I really like how graceful her pose it, and all the little details of her costume. And I kind of like the idea that she's 'shaping a rose without thorns.
 Hey, if you were a plantshaper, wouldn't you?
