ElfQuest Fan Art

So late last year we had a "Costume Party" AU art contest, and I did not get this done in time for that.  But I had the ideas so strongly, I still wanted to do it.  Usually when that happens I just have the ideas, but it gets pushed aside and I never complete it.  This time I was determined.

I can list who is who here, but can't really go into the deep background on the choices of costume.  There's some degree of appropriate association for each choice, let's just say.

L to R: Newt as Harry Potter (the boy who lived), with his tame owl Moonwing as a messenger-owl.  One-Leg as Mad-Eye Moody from same (a request of his owner).  Crackle as Merida from "Brave".  Cinder as Captain America.  Rill as Max from "Where the Wild Things Are".  Blacksnake as Thorin Oakenshield from "The Hobbit".  Farscout as Wash and Brightwood as Zoe from "Firefly" (at FS's owner's request; this fits Brightwood better character-wise, and seeing Farscout in that get-up is just funny).  Copper as Alice in Wonderland, and her stuffed fox as the White Rabbit.  Starskimmer as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (at her owner's request).  Chicory as Bilbo Baggins from "The Hobbit".  Whew!  This WAS a lot of fun to do, if challenging.
