Whistling leaves
by Berit
More fan game stuff!... the miracle cure leaves from forbidden grove! or miracle fever cure that works on elves, at least! the name comes from a sound that comes if a slight breeze passes though the plant... actually, the WHEEEEE sound makes the plant sound happy!... and drunk!... Treefox suggested that I draw this one, and it's a very nice choice, to tell the truth, I wouldn't have thought of it myself!...

Oh, they look perfect! I wish we had such a miracle plant here as well. I am not bad at plant lore, but I never heard of any plant that can cure a bad fever like Cutter's that fast.
Do want more suggestions? I think I could come up with more ideas. |

Yeah... I haven't found a herb like that either! but then again, I think the Whistling leaves only work on elves...or at least it is shown that it works on elves, but I cannot remember it being used on humans in the comics (could remember wrong) maybe it's like some herbs that only work on certain creatures? kinda like medicine for animals is different from human medicine... but anyway! I liked drawing this! thanks! and more? sure! blast away!...

I could imagine very well that it works differently on elves and humans. As you said it's different for animals and humans after all. But still I was always fond of the concept of whistling leaves and also liked that the elves not only rely on magic to heal.
So, here are some more ideas: - a water bag like the ones the Wolfriders used when they crossed the desert - pottery from the Sun Village for carrying water and stuff, just because it looks lovely - a stone for sharping swords and knives I'll come up with more. |

I like the idea as well, it makes them more attached to the earth. I usually dislike it when all healing is magic... because it makes it dull somehow, I personally believe the Sunfolk have herbs and other medicines as well... they had a moments when they didn't have healers, after all... but this list you gave me is just brilliant! so much useful stuff! it will be great that the player has to find both the lodestone AND the water bag to cross the desert!... I'm getting really inspired here!...

Oh, I like it! It inspires me too now!
One more item that could be interesting: cloaks! You know, like the cloaks Cutter and Skywise wore when they crossed the desert on the Zwoots. |

Cloaks! alright! adding it to the drawing list! I might post some background art soon too, though I currently don't have many... but soon, there will be backgrounds people will recognize from the comics...

:-) I have rarely seen fanart that even included whistling leaves, and never of just whistling leaves! This is cool.
