Rayek sketch - 2014

nothing important really, but I thought that before I draw anything bigger, it would be wise to get some rust off with some fast sketching!... it has been some time since I last drew Elfquest characters (looking like they should!) so here's Rayek! hahah! yeah! I know! I have too many portraits of Rayek already! but it's fun to draw him!... anyway... done with markers... crappy kids markers!...

There is no such too many Rayek portraits.
 Good way to start for 2014. This fiery appearance and warm colours makes the cold a bit vanish. (Currently it's just cold here, and cold without snow sucks.)

Well good to know people aren't getting bored! portraits just are a good way to take some rust off... and yeah, same here... I love cold and snow... but here, there hasn't really been cold nor snow... I'm quite worried about all the wild animals who need snow to hibernate...

Your Rayek always seems very snake-like, I really like that. While it may be cheap markers the colors make for very nice contrasts. Keep stuff coming, Berit!

Thanks! I will! I like that hypnotizing part about Rayek... can't get enough of it! so that might be why he turns out to be some what snake like...

Who could ever get bored of Rayek ? He has become a many faceted jewel in the ElfQuest crown.
I still have my first drawing of him - maybe I should find it and post ? just for all those hardcore Rayek fans out there, Heh? |

Well! it sure is nice to know people aren't bored of me sketching him with bad markers! because there might be more coming soon! though might be something better than crappy marker sketching...
