This was my/Holly’s submission for this year’s River Twin Holt calendar. Holly did a fantastic sketch which I painted over in Photoshop.

It was a lot of elves and quite a lot of fun as well. I was surprised at how well our styles blended together, considering how differently we work.

Our contribution landed us January and features the following elves from RTH: Longshot, Pathmark, Blacksnake, Greenweave, Cloudfern, Willow, Foxtail and Windsong.

You can view the entire calendar at the RTH site: http://www.rivertwine.com/artgallery.php?id=L

I love it that more people decided to collab. It produced some wonderful results, like this one! I love the colorscheme you picked, it's a perfect mix of cold and warmth.

Great! Phantastic teamwork. The maiden's ambush is a funny story... Windsong's cheeky eyes, looking to the viewer... poor defenceless guys ;-)

Extraordinary work on the shading and coloring, bringing such warmth and liveliness to the skin of the elves against such an icy backdrop. Pathmark's pose in this is playful and fun with him grasping the end of his hat. Windsong looks like she's inviting the viewer to join in on the fun, and I say yes! Might have to get into my semidry suit just to survive that cold, but it does look like the laides are about to have a lot of fun. I'm not entirely sure...are those fur items to go on someone's limbs in the background? Looks almost like twin offspring of cousin It.

Beautiful work, both of you!
