Wild and haunting! It looks almost like a spirit wolf. Once more, this is masterfully drawn and makes me look forward to winter somehow.

I really like how the Title matches the Mood and Colors that you used. Those Copic markers seem Waay Cool. Did it take you long to learn them ? ? I hope you stay in Wolf-mode for a little while longer as I am really enjoying the work and the inspiration. ThanX for the Wolf File. It has been great to see and study. A wonderful idea to share with us fellow Questers ! |

Well named! The play of white and blues on this works perfectly and it does have a strong winter theme (unlike Treefox, I can wait a very long time for winter). I also like how you've suggested the wrinkles in the muzzle with the hint of blue streaks, further emphasizing the SNARL.

@Treefox; I know, I'm not too keen on summer either. Though I do look forward to autumn first.
@Tah-Marien; I've had my copics for a few years now. I think I mainly found my groove with them by simply trying them out, to see what works for me, as opposed to following tutorials. I love the brush tips, and the way I can blend them to create new colors. I'm sure I can come up with a few more wolf pictures. Have you had any luck yet with my photos? @Amberfox; Actually, the title I found at Sketch Fest (as a prompt) and so it was the inspiration for the colors in this picture. I'm glad you like it. I did use photo reference for this, and the lines in the nose seem extra present whenever they show aggression like this. To leave them out would mean the feeling I try to communicate would be gone. Extra or less lines can do so much. |
