Of course you should! Anyway, I think that "contest" is more about sharing art with even more fans, and celebrating Elfquest. So post away.
 I love Ember's smile, but her eyes tell me it may be something wicked she's saying.

Why not? I think you should do it. And I am actually thankful that you post it here and on Facebook. So Facebook is not stealing all the fanart away.
 And on top we rarely see such a fun picture of Teir and Ember. Them just being playful and happy is lovely. The background really makes this a summer pic, so just right for July. |

Afke: Exactly! Thank you for noticing! Nilla: And it was months ago I last drew him, quite happy how he turned out this time! Treefox: I post my art to 3 different places, Facebook ,DevArt, and here (EQ to the gallery, other to forum) so, people can try! But they'll get caught. And yes, it has been so hot where I live, so I decided to make a sunny day picture instead of usual night time, but I put some clouds in because I sure do miss cooler weather. And I'm starting to think that all I can see in elves is just playfulness and happiness... |

I really like Teir's skin. I think how Wendy draws him is great, but personally thought him to be too pale. After all, he walks around shirtless on the plains. Here it is pale, you can still tell that his skin bears marks after rolling in the grass under the sun.

The happy playfulness of elves is likely because it's so nice outside...okay, I know, I'm the only one that likes this sort of really hot and humid weather.
I'm glad you went ahead and posted the illo for the facebook contest. What was the contest for? Have you heard anything back from them, seeing as how it was a contest? I really love Ember in this; she does have a playful, wicked little expression and Tier had better watch out. the skin tone on Tier is really good but his face seems a bit more angular than I recall. Of course, I could be wrong; it's been a while and I just bought a bunch of EQ comics to try and catch up to my reading. I really enjoy the mood of this illo and you've done a great job on the characters. |

@Startear: A lot of people draw Teir too pale, I mean yeah he's supposed to be a go-back but he ran around in the sun enough to get a tan. And when you first meet him he has a tan. Its not as much so as Ember's skin but its not like Cutter's skin either. He's somewhere in between.
@Amberfox: With his face, I based it off a preview for Wendy's final quest, and this being the real "First" drawing I've done of him, he gave me less pain than I expected. I didn't make the top three, the prize being a critique from Wendy herself, and a small showcase of your art on the EQ facebook front page. Fortunately, my drawing was the last to be uploaded so currently the Photos box on their facebook is my art! And the "Contest" isn't really much of a contest, its just a fan friday where you send in the fan art that has the theme of the week. This week is cutter, the first week was Skywise. |
