Butterfly

For some reason, this is kinda trippy for me to look at.
I kinda forgot Marakka, who's mainly a rockshaper is also a shapshifter.
I decide to try and draw him in his somewhat changed state and ended up with this.
Originally, it was just supposed to be him, sitting on a rock, looking at the butterfly. Then my muse went gaga on the background, saying Marakka played around with a mountain or something.

There's something really cute about him! I like that Egyptian-looking wolf head. Has a beautiful fluid shape. And his attention to the butterfly seems to me like he's considering it to be a nice, fluttery snack...

I agree, he looks really cute here, looking so curiously at the butterfly. And man, that background must have taken ages! 0.0 I keep seeing new pillars and shapes.

Quote I like that Egyptian-looking wolf head. Has a beautiful fluid shape. I'm really happy to hear that. I was looking at a jackal at the time of designing his animal. (Always had a crush on Anubis for some reason.) Quote And his attention to the butterfly seems to me like he's considering it to be a nice, fluttery snack...XD I wouldn't put it past him. The trippiness comes from the somewhat interlocking tribal style images behind him. Yes, I too saw the thumbnail and thought, "Oh, wow! Anubis! My favorite!" But then I remembered, EQ, not Egypt (and Anubis is a jackal, not a dog or wolf). Still, I think this is a lot of fun, catching Marakka in mid-transformation. He seems at once startled and intrigued by the butterfly; perhaps that is the form he'll try to morph into next. The work you put into the background was worth it, I think it really lends something to the overall idea of the image. I can imagine you were ecstatic when you finished the last ink line, though.
