We'll be doing a major timejump at Thunderwater Holt - a great excuse to redesign my elves' clothes  :lol

Sundazzle is currently wearing the version on the left but she'll dress down eventually now that they are back home :)

I love how casually she seems to be standing there, and the way you've drawn her clothes... they look so real, I don't see that very often. :)

Oh yes, she looks like she would start to move any second. So much life in her! I guess I fall into the category of making clothes that probably not work in the real world, so my compliments for both awesome outfits. I looks like someone worked long and hard on the outfits, but definitely like "real" clothes.
So, you got rid of the gazillion of braids? While I love them I find that very understandable and that one braid looks wonderful.  Gaaah, why can't my hair be thick like that?
I also love that confident expression. So, what I am trying to say is, great work my little friendly neighborhood birdie. ;)

Thank you so much ladies, you really made my day! :love

Treefox @ Another of my elves already wears a gazillion braids and I hardly ever draw him. So, considering that Sundazzle is my usual doodle elf it's just better I give her a hairstyle I won't start hating in a second :lol

Love both designs; is the cloth tied around her waist in the left image the same piece that she now wears (or will soon wear) over the tunic? The multiple braid design is great and a marvelous excuse to decorate the hair, but the single braid looks amazing and would be easier to maintain. I'm with you, Treefox, I wish my hair was that thick, too! I take it Sundazzle and her group were wandering? I've seen her in illos that give me that impression as well as your comment about being back home. Looks like her skin has lightened a bit as well. A huge fan of the spear, by the way. I want to believe you mentioned a while back that Sundazzle was a bit of a bimbo (I apologize if I have that wrong); she certainly seems more mature now!

Amberfox @ Yes, it's the same sash - thank you for noticing ;D And yes, when we started Thunderwater Holt Sundazzle was a fluffy party girl who had never bothered to pick up a weapon, and when you live in a jungle with lots of dangerous animals that's just not very smart. Later she almost got mauled by a panther and finally got some sense in her skull. That's a few game years ago now and she has indeed matured. She's the one protecting family and friends now, instead of the other way around. :D

Though, I think some of the maturity comes from the fact that she was the very first elf I picked up, back when I was 15, so I think we matured together ;)

I love seeing the clothing designs people come up with here for their elves.  Does it take you long to come up with them?  I fret all the time when designing things hoping it works in the world of elves and if it's functional for them lol

branchscamper @ It varies a lot. Some, like this one, I thought while on my way to school so when I finally had time to draw a sketch of it I did so quickly. Then I spent a while refining the design and adding/rethinking details. Other times I really have to force it - or, I try to and end up failing. I did one recently and it took me 3 or 4 days to make the outfit just right.

Usually I come up with a style first, then if it can be twisted into something practical (for elves) then I go with it. If not, I either scrap it or name it a "special occasion outfit" :hah

I love to see elves with multiple braids. It is just so interesting and easy way to make them unique. But I agree, it is a pain to draw. That's why I don't draw Ekah as much as I should. XD

I love both outfits. The one to the left seems to be more of a explorer and hunting outfit, while the other seems more like she brought the spear just in case.

Thank you! And you're completely right, the left is her explorer outfit and the right is a dressed-down back home outfit. So glad it came across :D
