1996 -   My oldest Character drawing that I could find done .   It was drawn and  "inked" in a bic pen.  Two colors ; Blue and Black.  One ran out then the other ran out. . .so I declared it done.

2012 - Done in Mechanical Pencils.  Ready for Inking or Color.

I like both because they make me see how much more work I need .

You do some pretty neat hairstyles! I like the classical Elfquest-y setups of these.

Looks like you already did some light shading in the old drawing, but the new one has a much better dark/light ratio. I love crosshatching. :) I like the details of the background, and her face also speaks a lot more!

Thank You TREEFOX.  I started cutting Hair in the late seventies.  Anybody could have done It.  They put out a drawn guide for Farrah Fawcett's hair style in a Seventeen magazine.  I will only do a good hairstyle when I can see How to Cut it in My head.  So some drawings are just Guesssing.  Funny.   .   .  I still find Tyleets a big Challenge.   Soooo   .   .  I' aged her and give her a  long  Gypsie  Shag.  Worked for me.  Te -hee.

Ayoohar  AFKE.  I still have trouble with the  "levels" of Shading. I'm Lazy.. I would rather have a professional ink or color.

Good Journey.

I like the shading in both, although the 2012 shows you have really brought the focus back onto the character. Love the backgrounds on both as well; few seem to bother with it, but when the effort is made, it is worth it. The hair is fun, and few characters seem to sport (let alone rock) the dual ponytails, but Changestone manages both. I'm wondering...were you ever a member of Shadow Island Holt?

Funny you should mention hair. My "bangs" are still a bit feathered (I still wear them a bit long to be "bangs") - oh, shades of Farrah Fawcett! Would be neat if we could ever meet up; I'm trying to figure out something to do with my hair at the moment, especially the hair framing my face, but I'm at a total loss. Ah well.

Great illos, both of them! She's a lovely character!

Thank You AMBERFOX.   I have been playing her and drawing her now for over 20 years.  The ponies came about because in a "Hunt Roll"  you can loose points and damage if it is more possible for anything on your elf-person to catch or be caught in a fight or flight.  I grew to like her both ways, if the spear is in her hands it's ponytail/braids.  But anyone drawing her can pick what they like to draw.
