Art trade with wildfire
Wanted to do something different, but turns out this is a pain to color...
Slowly getting it done, but I want to upload this as a quick preview.
Everything look good? I've already added the extra details on the colored version.
I thought the flame would look creative if it spelled her name.........
Its a pain to color......... Or even work with for lighting.
I'll finish it soon Wildfire!

Mh! Somehow I think this would look nice as the opening picture for a web page. I really like the pretty face, thick hair and I usually dig oriental clothing. My only nitpicks would be her rather pointed chin and that I think her right leg needs to be a tiiiny bit longer to match the left one. That would make her looks more like standing on firm ground. But I love it and am sure Wildfire will, too!

I agree with Treefox on everything. I think you've done a wonderful job on the character and captured that lovely face really well. The chin is a bit too pointed; just give the lower jawline a little width just before the point and I think it'll work out perfectly. As for the legs, I've been trying to justify her left leg stretched out like that, but it would through the rest of her body completely off balance. So, extending the right leg a bit would definitely help the image and overall balance. I can easily see this as the image for the web page, maybe have her setting fire to the title "Elfquest Fan Art & Fiction"?

Haha, so spunky! She's lovely, thank you. I love the way you do hair, very heavy and poofy. SO cute! I'm still working on Dart, I'm at the inking stage ^___^

Yeah, there's a few things that went awry when inking this, her face was described to me as really thin, like rayeks but thinner, I think I took that to heart too much. In the colored version, I kinda just covered her leg with grass.... Lazy way of trying to make it look better, but everytime I try to scale things, it turns out terrible...
I'll tweak around and see what happens, thanks guys! I'm glad you like it wildfire! I hope the colored version comes out good, it is looking okay so far, I just gotta fix some things with the background, looking forward to dart! |
