Wow, this is beautiful. It holds a lot of confidence and power, but you manage to sneak in some vulnerability with the mouth. At leas I think so. May be that you don't like the eyes, but I think they look good. They look directly at you, and it is what gives me the feeling of power.
Krim has a really fascinating hairstyle. It is odd, it is in fan images which brings that to life. Also, the hairpiece is very well done. It does look like gold. Only possible nitpick I can muster is that her eye color is the same kind of yellow green hue which is around the images on the board. At least in she has that in Kings. But all in all, it is a beautiful image, and I love it. |

I think the vulnerability comes though because you can't see her eyebrows; that makes it appear as though they are raised and under her headband. I don't recall, since I've been out of the loop (so to speak) from the comics, but did she have notched ears like that? I thought that was more the Wavedancers, but I could be off or missing something somewhere. I can't see a reason to hate the eyes, though; they're quite lovely. It's nitpicking, but when drawing characters from this near three-quarter angle, the eye closest to the viewer is larger than the one away from the viewer. You're not so far off that it's distracting so I wouldn't worry about it. The eyes are expressive and level with each other, something even I fail to do at times.

Startear: At the elfquest site it said that she had blue eyes. So I drew blue eyes, since I didn't see the color in my ref pictures. Ehehhhe.
Amberfox: The ears are just how I draw ears. All kinds of ears, actually. Sorry 'bout the missunderstanding. And I know... About the eye thingie, I'm just way to bad at actually using that information when I draw. Gotta work harder. Draw more. ThnQ for the nudge thou'. Other than that, thnQ for the kind words too both of ye. |

Very lovely, I see you improving greatly with facial close-ups. I must say you are quicker than me in posting this, but since I now have time, I'll get your art done soon.
This makes me think of the sweeter side that only skot and pike so often get to see, very beautiful. |
