Oh I like this version as well! While Maggie's coloring makes me think of sunset, this looks more like a sunrise to me. A cold morning. This Windrider art is so wonderful, as it reminds me of my first glimpses of Elfquest, Cutter and Skywise on their way to Blue Mountain. Makes me all nostalgic!

I love these colors! A limited color palette often has so much mood.
I do think the shadows are pointing in the wrong direction..? The light is on the right, so the shadows should go left. |

I have to agree with Afke about the shadows, but it's still a moody, lovely piece; the drawing itself and the limited color palette.
