Nastybad snappy-chase growler!

We just finished having a contest at RTH involving Preservers, and I owed an art-trade to Razzle, who owns Chicory, and who alerted me to the fact that Chicory's wolf-friend likes chasing Preservers.  Voila, contest idea! It's kind of a pity you can't see the expression on the small orange and yellow Preserver's face, it's very annoyed.  I also keep waffling on whether I basically did Dewdrop's wings upside down or not (foreground).  Ah well.

Brush-pen inks, Copic coloring, effects in PS.

Upside down, well... they're transparent, so there's no way we could tell. ;D
I LOVE the wolf's expression most!

That wolf is so big! O,o
I adore the two Preservers! Dewdrop almost looks real.

Afke: I meant, whether the way the tips point should be pointing down (as they are) or pointing up. I dunno.  There was a point where I could have tried them the other way, but I didn't think to.  I originally did them like this because I think I was picturing Dewdrop's body being oriented slightly differently, and then when what developed was this view of the body, I didn't think to rethink the wings.

Nilla: Chicory is a pretty small elf. ;)  And the wolf *is* standing up a bit on her hind-legs.  (It was hard to judge the necessary relative sizes, given this positioning.  But I *think* that Chicory's head is about the same relative size to the wolf's as Evervale's is to the wolf she's riding in my previous pic.)

Preservers are fun to draw and I should draw them more often. :)

This is delightful! The motive and the colors feel like Spring. So cute that the wolf enjoys chasing the incredibly well-drawn preservers! Nice idea, too. About the wings, it's definitely hard to say because of the perspective.
Are the white dots on the preserver's wings done traditionally or digitally? If traditionally, what did you use?

Treefox: digitally. :)

I also considered trying to make the foreground Preserver's wings translucent... but kind of ran out of time.

Ah, thanks! I asked, because I am still searching for the perfect opque white.
