Shadow-Dancer

Really old picture of Beyond's grandchild, Shadow-Dancer. He was coloured by one of my friends.
Shadow-Dancer was originally inspired by a bird mask that shows up in a game called Bioshock. He is an vision maker (able to create great, life-like illusions), and kinda functions as the tribe's story teller.
He's considered to be 'very friendly, for a Timeless', but has been know to pester the neighboring trolls and make them  drink tea with him, for no other reason then to confused said trolls.
He's very fond of masks and items that can be used as decorations.

Ignore his split pants/leg-thingies. They're fully connected nowadays.

I've always had a soft spot for this guy. Love the mask of course. You know, I'm very undecided if I like that his pants are different now... when I saw it the first time, my dolling muse freaked out because how on earth were I going to be able to make those pants? But now I kinda miss them... they are really unique.

XD I know. When I designed them I thought they were nice looking. If I remember right, I designed them that way because I couldn't actually draw the pants correctly at the time. so I cheated.

Your really are good at designing masks and hats and unusual clothes. Love it! Love his chaps/boots as well. I'd like to see more of Shadow-Dancer.

Heehehe. Then you're in luck. ;D He kinda stole a page in my book. Tried to draw first-try Shadowtree but I kinda got the notion I should really wait with it. (I was stuck in a insomnia wave, so drawing a new character would end in disaster) For some odd reason, I could handle Shadow-Dancer.

Oh yes, I remember seeing him before somewhere else. A very interesting design. Does he wear this mask often or usually or is this just for show in this illo? I believe I also see Beyond's influence with the bells at his waist.

He rarely takes his make off, heck, I've only drawn him maskless once and that drawing freaked me out. XD He has at least two masks. One a bird mask and the other is a stag/antelope mask. He typically uses the other mask in autumn/winter seasons, or if he's trying to freak people out.

I've never drawn him with bells on his waist tho. The waist circles are just pebbles or blue gems. At the time I drew him I wanted to give some kind of belt but it ended up just being a string and a couple of gems. XD

Darn, got that one wrong. Well, maybe it was still influenced by his grandfather...yeah, I'll go with that. Will we see him in his stag mask anytime soon?

I know what you mean. I drew Amberfox as a cub once...round, mustache-less, with shoulder length hair.  Creepy.

It would have to be. Shadow-Dancer's father is...very dull/normal considering he's Beyond's son.  You could say Beyond's outlandishness skipped a generation and showed up in Shadow-Dancer.

I can try and find the one I already have and post it?

It often happens that way that something in a family will skip a generation - usually genetic alterations from drug use. Eh-hem. If you can find an illo of Shadowdancer with a different mask, I'd love to see it! I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see it.

Yeah, now you're challenging me to post that illo of little Amberfox (grasping the tail of a wolf cub). It's so old...and creepy.
