First troll ever

LOOONG explanation:
*Logs on eqfa and sees Afke has posted two fantastic troll templates.*
*Thinks to herself*
'I might actually try and draw a troll because of this.'
*Get's no objections from muse, goes to her school, prints out templates, harasses schoolmate with the idea that this is his troll, Nilla is told she's now five times more evil then the time she got said schoolmate to watch My Little Pony:FIM with her. Sits down at table, schoolmate picks which template his troll should have. Nilla studies it for 10 minutes or so and starts drawing.*
I fail to believe the ting that gave me the most trouble with this drawing was the fact photoshop kept freezing up on me.
-Drawing her was relatively easy. Got it in the first try. And it's a full body. DAFUQ, muse?
-Designing her was also easy. Jewelry looks craptastic, sure, but it's one of the few times I've had to do give a character that much jewelry in the first place.
-Colouring was walk in the park. (seeing as I just kicked the damn near ruined coloured version of Cone off my table I honestly thought the troll here would give me utter hell, but noooo...)
- Spent an hour wonder if trolls all have the same eye colours, yellow-orange-red (?) or if they actually had other coloures, like grey or blue.
-Fought with my comp for an hour before I got ps to stop trolling.
*Made a avi version just for the hell of it.*
*First comment she get's on it is*
'Is this Winnowill as troll?'
*Punches computer proclaiming her first troll is damn well prettier then Winnowill*
Short explanation:
I drew a troll. It was fun.PS trolled.
Name wise I’m no good at this, but I think she’s either called Gleam or Gleam-Ore.
Or something. Whatever, she’s one of the trolls that live near my elves, the Timeless.
I feel so sorry for her already.
Next up: Marut.

Lol, I am amused by your story.
 But very good troll! I looove her lips and that elaborate jewelry! I think I forgot to add jewelry to my tips.

I think you did a fine job! the eyes look wonderful! sorry for lack of comments of late, EQ fanart has been weird to me, I haven't been able to logout since yesterday, and I can't do anything... I can't awnser forums, sometimes I can't comment... it is a mess...

I love her dress. It is not only my favorite shade of pink, but it actually looks like one can wear it without feeling like a sausage bursting out or be uncomfortable. Now, what's her story I wonder?

Afke:That would be awesome! 8D I tend to be able to draw stuff if I see them drawn first. Looking at real jewelry doesn't work for me.
Berit: It's ok, the site spent a good 4-5 hours messing with me at one point. I only mentioned Marut as a public reminder because I actually made a headshot of him some days ago. I was having all sorts of problems with how to draw his eye. (not the shape, just the iris and pupil) But, it occurred to me it's basically the same eye type I give Beyond,very small pupil, large iris. In Marut's case it's just small pupil and equally small iris. Startear: XD I think it is a very comfy dress. I get the feeling it's soft and rather thick (so it's wearer does't get cold.) 'Now, what's her story I wonder?' Well...I have been thinking up a background story for the trolls that are so unlucky to be neighbors to the Timeless. I just need to know one tiny thing. Under which chief do you guys think the troll revolt (the one Greymung started) took place? |

Found it! According to the timeline on EQ.com, Greymung's revolt took place sometime between 10 000 - 8000 years before EQ 1. So most likely under Timmorn, Rahnee or Preypacer, I'd guess...? Two-spear's war against the humans took place around 7000 years before EQ 1, if that helps. ...and your troll lady rocks!

Very lovely troll maiden, and I wasn't sure at first what she was draped in, bubbles or pearls? then I thought, pearls; she IS a troll after all, and any male troll worth her attentions would make every oyster in the world irritate those shiny things for her. I'm wondering if she's a troll model or just young since she seems more slender than more "typical" troll ladies. I think you did a wonderful job on this green skinned beauty.

XD I think my friend would go gaga if it were pearls. I just made a ton of round objects (jewellery isn't my strong side) and coloured it white /silver/grey because both the guy I made it for and myself aren't that fond of gold.
I'm very happy with how the skin turned out myself. =D As for the slenderness,I'm just not good at drawing heavyset characters. Of course, she could just be a abnormal troll. |

None too fond of gold, myself, nor can I tell if my trolls are large enough when I draw them. And just tell your friend she's draped in pearls and make him happy. I think she looks like she'd attract plenty of male troll attention.
